Dr. Thema Hepburn is a compassionate, gentle, and meticulous dental practitioner dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, and pain-free environment for her patients. Her holistic approach to dentistry integrates comprehensive clinical evaluation with aesthetic goals, resulting in individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and aspirations.
Before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, Dr. Hepburn obtained an AAS in Dental Hygiene and a BS in Health Administration from New York City College of Technology. With a decade of experience as both a dental hygienist and office manager, she brings a uniquely well-rounded perspective to patient care, emphasizing both clinical excellence and a seamless patient experience.
Dr. Hepburn holds advanced certifications in Invisalign orthodontic therapy, sleep apnea oral appliance therapy, and aesthetic and TMD injectable treatments—including Botox and dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvéderm—offering a comprehensive range of oral health and cosmetic solutions.
A committed advocate for community service, Dr. Hepburn is an active member of the American Dental Association, Greater New York Dental Meeting, and Second District Dental Society. She regularly volunteers her time to causes close to her heart, including providing free dental care to survivors of domestic violence and underserved populations, mentoring underrepresented youth in STEM, and conducting free oral health screenings at community health fairs.
Following the completion of a general practice residency at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn, Dr. Hepburn joined ORIS, where she proudly practices alongside her mother, Dr. Lorna Flamer-Caldera. Their partnership blends generational expertise with a shared commitment to comprehensive care. When she’s not practicing dentistry, she enjoys running, dancing, swimming, and cherishing time with her husband, their son, and their beloved pets.

This was the most friendly and comprehensive dental experience I ever had. I felt very welcome and very heard. They listened to me and were both patient and caring while still being incredibly knowledgeable about the ins and outs of their profession.

While I didn't actually get to see Dr. Hepburn, which I aspired to, I was taken care of by another dentist who was not out for the holidays. Everything was swift, professional, and efficient. I was treated with even more care than I'm accustomed to. I look forward to my follow-up appointment in six months, and I certainly recommend Dr. Hepburn.
