Dr. Alexis Corbitt Washington is dedicated to delivering exceptional, personalized dental care. With 15 years of experience, she combines expertise and compassion to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Born and raised in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, she brings a Caribbean warmth to the dental suite.
Dr. Washington earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UNC-Chapel Hill and completed her residency at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She spent six years treating veterans at the Washington, D.C., VA Medical Center, where she learned that every smile has a story.
Dr. Washington has been with Washington Metro Dental for the last six years, specializing in Invisalign treatments and utilizing cutting-edge technology like the iTero® scanner, creating 3D simulations to deliver precise cosmetic dentistry.
She is a member of the DC Dental Society, the Greater Washington Academy of Dental Studies, and chairwoman for the Robert T. Freeman Dental Society. Utilizing the latest dental technology helps her create a comfortable & relaxed dental environment to care for patients. Passionate about giving back, Dr. Washington volunteers with Missions of Mercy, and, as a breast cancer survivor herself, she serves as State Leader for Young Survival Coalition.
In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, dog-friendly wineries with her cockapoo Sheba, scuba diving, and being of “service to all mankind” as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Nice office and doctors, but the billing lady spent 20 minutes coming up with my estimate and mentioned i owed a deductible on top of my bill. I told her that was inaccurate because I paid it at another office 3 months ago. She mentioned it was showing as unpaid for the year and when I went home it showed as paid. I'm okay with an error but not one that you explicitly stated you checked and didn't - as well as pushing me to complete the appointment before the end of your booking cycle.

My experience was positive. I felt welcome from the time I arrived until the time I left. Receptionists, hygienist, doctor, intern, and treatment plan person for courteous and inviting. I’m definitely a new patient that will become a regular.

I hate dentist visits! But Dr. Corbitt and her team ensured that my dental visit was as comfortable as possible! I appreciate the time that each individual took to explain why they were opting to do various procedures. I have definitely found a dental office that I will remain with for continued care.

I love the Professionalism of Dr Corbitt and her staff. Dr. Corbitt sat and explained everything in a way that made me feel secure and comfortable with all that was happening with my teeth. Not only do they care about making sure I was comfortable but also making sure they addressed all of my symptoms.
