Dr. Allison Gordon began her education and went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine at UMDNJ – New Jersey Dental School (now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine), where she was selected for the Gamma Pi Delta Honor Society. Dr. Gordon’s post-graduate education includes a General Practice Residency at Woodhull Medical Center, an affiliate of NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Gordon has completed multiple externships, including at the Division of Dentistry at Weill Cornell Medical College and with the Indian Health Service in Mesa, Arizona. Dr. Gordon received her Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry, which is a distinction earned by less than 6% of dentists. A routine participant in continuing education programs—including the prestigious NYU Clinical Implantology Program—Dr. Gordon continues to cultivate her knowledge and skills in the ever-changing field of dentistry. She was recruited to serve on staff at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she teaches as a Clinical Attending in the General Practice Residency. Dr. Gordon practices all phases of dentistry, with special attention to restorative, implant, cosmetic, and endodontic procedures.

This practice made unauthorized claim to my insurance company end of January. I called the practice end of January to ask them to retract the claim. After several phone calls they agreed to retract the claim. But the office manager insisted that the retraction had to be sent via mail and there was no electronic way to send it. Fast forward, 3 months later, I called my insurance company. My insurance company never received anything regarding the retraction of the claim. My insurance company also told me that a retraction of the claim can be sent via fax. My insurance company called this practice to ask for the retraction of the claim to be sent via fax. Still nothing. It is hilarious that when this practice charged me on this unauthorized claim, it took them 2 days to send it to the insurance company the claim electronically. And when the claim needs to be retracted, suddenly they lost the ability to connect with my insurance company electronically, and dragged the process for months.

I let the dental hygienist know how terrified I was of the experiences at the dentist. And immediately, she went above and beyond to put me at ease and make sure I was okay. While she was doing my dental cleaning, she let me know what she was doing, pause to ensure I wasn’t feeling pain, and kept saying that I was doing great. Dr. Gordon came afterwards and she also was very warm. She did small talk before looking over the X-rays and discussing a plan of care for me. Overall, I’m so glad I chose this dentist cause it really was a great experience restarting my dental care.

She said I should see if I need my wisdom tooth out. I didnt want to do it cause I was scared so I waited too long and got a big infection. Im going to listen to dr Gordon next time for sure

Manhattan Dental was recommended by a friend of mine. I am very grateful for the recommendation. It's not easy finding a good dentist and I've been going to my childhood dentist for about 20 years. The reason I am changing is because I want a one stop shop and he usually has to send me other places to get certain things done. Manhattan Dental has been amazing thus far.
The dentist, Allison Gordon, was amazing. I appreciate how much they check on you throughout your whole appointment. In one day I had two procedures done and it took about two hours. I was shocked when she inserted the numbing needing and I didn't feel too much pain. The assistants are friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff, well they are all super sweet and professional.
The waiting area is always clean and I love the massage chair. Haha. Very good touch if you are waiting. All my visits, my wait has never been more than five minutes so I don't get to enjoy the chair.
I highly recommend Manhattan Dental!

I was looking for an office that had everything I needed like oral surgeon and endodontist. Dr. Allison Gordon was the first doctor I needed to see, she was so friendly and totally understood my fear. She was very patient with me and helped me out with all my concerns. If you're someone like me that's afraid of dentists, needles, specialists. This is the right office for you!! Will definitely come back to this practice!

Absolutely the best! I went in last minute with a chipped tooth and Dr. Gordon was amazing. I felt seen and heard from the moment she stepped foot in the operatory. I will continue to see Dr. Gordon and you should too!
