“I greatly enjoyed my visit to the CitiDent office today! The staff were incredibly friendly and warm, and were able to make time in their schedule for a few different requests I had during my appointment. What most impressed me was the office: it was state of the art and many of the tools (most of which I didn’t even know existed) used to review my consultation and questions about cosmetic dentistry were massively helpful in “seeing” the issues and the predictive results. I have never been to a dentist’s office that really tried to educate and inform me about my smile as much as CitiDent did. I’m immensely grateful and looking forward to going again.”

About Dr. Behnam (Ben) Amini
Dr. Amini is the founder of CitiDent, where a team of general practitioners and specialists in periodontics and orthodontics collaborate in a completely renovated, modern facility. He currently practices three days a week-Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Dr. Amini earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Dentistry and as an Instructor at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He voluntarily dedicates his time to training the next talented generation of dentists in the Bay Area.
Dr. Amini is very active in the dental community and holds numerous memberships and certificates in local, national, and international dental organizations, including Mastership status at the Academy of General Dentistry. Currently, fewer than 2% of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada hold this prestigious status. He is a clinical evaluator for several dental manufacturers and a Subject Expert at the Dental Board of California. Additionally, he serves as a Board member of the Community Dental Health Committee in the San Francisco Dental Society.
His passion for modern dentistry has enabled him to utilize the latest science and technology to positively impact and transform the patient experience. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Amini is an avid scuba diver who has explored deep waters around the globe. He also holds a patent for a scuba diving device designed to enhance diver safety.

The office itself is extremely well laid out, clean, and designed. I was very impressed before I saw the doctor, and then when I did see him, the experience was even better. He explained what he was doing as he did it, which I appreciated. Also the equipment was more advanced than I had previously ever experienced.

I looked at the reviews of Dr. Amini before I went in and was still pleasantly surprised, which is a weird thing to say about a dentist. He is very thorough, careful, and has an excellent staff and space. I recommended him to all of my co-workers.

Dr. Amini spent a lot of time explaining to me how my teeth were doing, what he planned to do to improve things, how the machines he used work, how I should be taking care of my teeth and gums, and he made me feel comfortable by chatting about random things. He was very patient with me, giving me breaks to catch air whenever I needed them, which is often, as I am a mouth breather.
I had some cavities and Dr. Amini was able to fill them right away, so I did not have to come back a second time to get that done. I also appreciate that Dr. Amini seems to use very modern tools, which made the experience less unpleasant than it has been at previous dentists.
The only comment for improvement I have is that my appointment started 25 minutes late.
Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Amini and CitiDent!

Dr. Amini is the most professional and patient doctor I have ever been to. He took the time to understand my issues and address them in a non-rushed manner. If you have the opportunity to make an appointment, you will be blown away!
