About Dr. Boris Pinhasov
Dr. Boris Pinhasov is a board-certified specialist in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics. With an eye for detail and impeccable technical skills, you can rest assured that each treatment plan is customized, ensuring every patient is fully informed about their care using the most up-to-date technology. Caring, dedicated, and committed to the optimal oral health of his patients, Dr. Pinhasov creates a comforting, positive, and relaxing atmosphere alongside his staff and facility.
Dr. Pinhasov earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University and completed a residency in General Practice at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. He further advanced his expertise with specialty training in Orthodontics and Craniofacial Orthopedics through a competitive three-year program at Maimonides Medical Center, where he is currently the director of the orthodontic program. Additionally, he holds a Certificate in Full Mouth Rehabilitation from New York University and has completed advanced training in Implantology at Columbia University.
Thoroughly trained in all orthodontic techniques, Dr. Pinhasov works closely with patients of all ages-whether interested in metal or clear braces, lingual braces, or Invisalign-to achieve the healthiest and most cosmetically appealing results.

Dr Boris is probably the best dentist I’ve been to. I HATE going to the dentist. It’s my absolute least favorite visit of all physicians because I’ve never had one that’s very gentle or mindful of my pain. Dr Boris was very kind and gentle.

Went for annual dental cleaning with Dr. Boris as I had tartar buildup. He was pleasant, quick and there were no bleeding gums while or after cleaning. After cleaning, teeth felt fresher and there was no post cleaning pain like some other times. This is the first time that my dental cleaning was such a breeze and genuinely appreciate it. Happy to find a reliable and genuine doctor who actually seems to care about patient's health. :)

Dr. Boris helped me get over my lifetime fear of dentists. He had to do extensive work on my teeth and reassured me there would be no pain. There wasn't! I had not seen a proper dentist in about 15 years and he didn't make me feel bad about it. He assessed the x-rays, told me what was wrong with my teeth and was very clear in the step by step process and what needed to happen. Even when I was freaking out at having to extract teeth at my age, he made my feel better by showing me his teeth and his assistant's teeth and said it happens to everyone. He's so great that my partner changed his longtime dentist and is going to him as well.

Before Dr. Pinhasov, I didn't get the feel that my dentist at the time really was putting the patient's best interest ahead of his own agenda. After my visit with Dr. Pinahasov, I came to realize that my previous dentist wanted me to do all these unnecessary procedures. My wait time was literally less than 5 minutes which could have been due to my visit being on a Sunday which is the most awesome thing ever. I didn't have to take time off work. Dr. Pinhasov is honest, he listens to the problems you are having and comes up with a course of treatment based on importance and for that I am grateful.
