Dr. Schobel grew up in Massachusetts and attended the University of Rochester in New York where he earned his degree in Biology. After graduating he worked in oral microbiology research for two years before attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
He completed an advanced training residency in General Dentistry at Abington Memorial Hospital where he expanded his knowledge and skill in all fields of general dentistry including cosmetic cases, extractions, crowns, bridges, Invisalign, and implants. Dr. Schobel loves his work and really enjoys building relationships with his patients. He believes that communication and comfort are essential, and really treats all his patients like family.
Dr. Schobel's wife Hannah is a DC native. They are currently raising two boys in Arlington, VA. He's an avid baseball fan and enjoys golf, running, and just about anything that gets him outdoors.

Dr. Schobel is a very personable and caring dentist. He spent a great deal of time with me going over options to improve my teeth and oral health. His assistant Wendy was so adept at her craft I hardly even felt the cleaning, and my teeth look great! I feel lucky to have found them, my first visit after a move to the Capitol. A great visit; the first of many to come.

The entire experience was great. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. Dr. Schobel did the cleaning himself, as is his custom with all new patients. Like most people, I do not like dental visits, but I feel like Dr. Schobel and all of the staff will take very good care of me when I'm there.

I had an excellent experience with Brian Schobel. He is very professional and careful. I'm so happy to find a great dentist in DC, what is not an easy task. He explained every procedure and answered all my questions clearly. And most important, didn't push any expensive treatment. With photos of my teeth in a monitor he showed me minor problems I have on my theeth. It was very interesting to see what Is really happening in my mouth closely. His front office staff was very professional and friendly as well. I highly recommend this practice to anyone.

Both were very warm in demeanor while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. All of my questions were answered in a clear and concise manner, and I was made to feel important and heard.
This is the best dental experience I have ever had in terms of customer care, and I would highly recommend this practice to anyone I met.

Excellent! I'm so happy to find a great dentist in my area. I've been looking for a long time. I've had several not-so-good experiences with dentists or dental staff since living in northern Virginia and DC for 6 years. Last year I resorted to scheduling all my dental work back home in California with the family dentist while on holiday. Not anymore.
