About Dr. Camilo Riano
After a few years of private practice in Orthodontics in Colombia and teaching at the Javeriana University, Dr. Riaño moved to San Francisco, California to continue further studies at the University of the Pacific. Since 2009, he has been gearing his private practice towards aesthetic orthodontics by introducing 3M Incognito® lingual braces and Invisalign® for adults and Invisalign Teen®. He is currently an Elite Invisalign® Provider and Premier Provider of Incognito®. He is a speaker for the Incognito 3M Golden Circle of Excellence in which orthodontists from around the world share their expertise.
He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the World Federation of Orthodontists, the Colombian Association of Orthodontists and the San Francisco Dental Society.
He believes that his success lies in exceeding the patients expectations with an optimal treatment plan and device to offer the most efficient and convenient appliance for each particular case. “If my patients are happy, I am happy and it works!!!!!”
He is very involved in his community and gives talks to elementary students from schools in San Francisco, to create consciousness among parents and students about the relevance of reducing oral habits and their influence on the malformation of the craniofacial complex.
When not in at his office, Dr. Riaño spends his time with his wife Anne and his three kids; Maria Camila, Sebastián, and Pablo. He enjoys playing soccer with his kids, backpacking, camping, rock-climbing and hiking. His favorite spot is Pinnacles National Park because there is lots of wildlife and incredible camping.

Phenomenal!!! Beautiful office, the friendliest staff, and they spent so much time explaining everything to me, and answered all my questions without rushing me. I am a health professional myself and I can say with some perspective that this is a well run place!!! So excited to get started with my treatment. Dr Riano clearly has a lot of experience and expertise and I feel like I am in good hands.

Dr. Riano provided me with braces. Two things bothered me about the treatment: first, he filed the side of a tooth without asking me (a permanent shaving done with a drill) and his office assistant promised me a free nightguard which never materialized.

The doctors are great at the center, but the administration staff members, even though friendly and polite, are disorganized.
I was promised to be emailed with review of my check-up twice, but wasn't contacted at all.
After booking an appointment for cleaning, I came in to hear that I was about to get a cavity treatment.
Also, the waiting time is long.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Camilo Riano. He's knowledgeable and passionate about what he does.
The overall experience I received in the office was fantastic. I was given fresh mint tea (literally fresh mint leaves). The whole experience at the office was smooth and easygoing.

I had a fine visit. I needed a permanent retainer removed from my teeth because it was broken and had been on my bottom teeth for over 10 years. I didn't want to replace it with an invisalign because I didn't feel that I needed it. Regardless, the doctor refused to remove my broken retainer unless I agreed to pay for a new invisalign retainer.

I have enjoyed my visits to Dr. Riano since I started treatment. They work closely with my schedule, are accommodating, incredibly friendly, and the facilities are nice.

Having far more experience than I would like with orthodontists in 4 cities I can, with a qualified opinion, say Dr. Riano provides the most technically sophisticated and patient friendly orthodontic experience I have seen. In addition his staff are responsive, his office is new and impeccably well kept, and everyone in the office becomes your your friend during the treatment process.

Over all, Dr Riano is professional and well experienced. The team is nice and seems easy to work with. I almost made a deal for lingual braces, but this is my 1st consultation and I don't want to make a rush decision; I think I should have a second opinion since this is a big investment.

I am a mother of two boys and I've been to multiple ortho offices in the past for myself and the kids. I must say, I've been extremely impressed with this office and highly recommend Dr. Camilo Riano. My kids just finished their 5th visit and we have been loyal patients, because my kids are all smiles when I pick them up, Dr. Riano is absolutely amazing with kids. He makes my boys feel very comfortable, and ho work and results speak for themselves. Their teeth look fabulous! The staff is very friendly and the office is top of the line. I am continuously impressed with Dr. Riano's attention to detail & his patience with my kids.
