Manhattan Dentist, Dr. Pollak, was recognized as one of New York City's Top Dentists of 2011, and has also received numerous awards for outstanding dentistry and volunteer efforts through NYU, his Alma Mater. Dr. Pollak is listed in the Who's Who for Health Professionals of 2008 and 2009. He often volunteers to speak to people of all ages (from Kindergarteners to Seniors) educating them on the importance of dentistry for overall health.
He was a clinical instructor at New York University, and is a dentist recommended by the Israeli Consulate for both visiting dignitaries and staff. Dr. Pollak speaks four languages (English, Hebrew, Hungarian, and Yiddish). He was a semi-professional international folk dancer for many years which continues to be a gratifying hobby (perhaps contributing to his characteristic sparkle and charm.).

What else could anyone want in a dentist?
Knows how to make the work as pain free as possible, does a good clean professional job, saved me from needing future painful, expensive procedures. And has an uplifting friendly personality, much like that Holiday Elf that’s a Dentist. Oh and most importantly he remembers that there’s a flesh and blood human attached to that tooth on the other end!

Dr. Pollack is kinda a chatty kathy. Nice guy, but the appointment took almost 2x as long then it needed to as he wanted to tell me all about his first love and dance lessons. At first is was charming but 25 mins later, I just wanted my teeth to be taken care of. IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY DO NOT GO HERE.
Also they do estimated insurance, I am not sure what that means but the system is very antiquated. When I needed my records switched to a new dentist, it took them over a week to get back to me, when I called/emailed daily.

I highly recommend Dr Pollak,
He makes you feel comfortable and at ease at all times from the moment you walk into his office and throughout the visit. He's extremely knowledgeable and teaches you and explains to you thoroughly the problem that u have before and during while he works on your teeth. He's honest and will tell you if something need not be done or should be done.

Dr Pollak is the best dentist I've ever had (and I've had a few). His staff is wonderful and they always run on time. Even though his office is older (aesthetically) Dr Pollak is up to date on all of the newest dental education. He is very passionate about dentistry and likes to teach you about what he's doing. And he likes to make you laugh which is great!

Very professional! Dr Charles Pollak makes you feel comfortable while he works his magic. Very informative and caring. He explains everything while he's working , which is rather insightful. If your teeth can be saved he will do his best to do so. He's not in the business of shady practices like so many other dentists. He's the man for the job take my word for it.
I've had an extraction done by this genie of a dentist. I didn't feel a thing! He has this system to keep the pain away that's totally amazing while he charmingly goes on with casual conversations. By the end of the convo "poof" tooth extracted. And I'm amazed by this.
Take my word. This is the guy you're looking for. Thank you so much Charles! You're making a difference which is highly appreciated.
