About Dr. Christina Vourtsis
Christina Vourtsis DDS has over 13 years of experience as a general dentist in New York City.
A New York native, she graduated from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry in 2005.
Following her graduation, she completed a General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
Dr Vourtsis has been serving the Washington Heights community for over 8 years.

Went to see Dr. Vourtsis for an emergency dental visit. She was very kind and gentle. And immediately sent me to a specialist for an extraction. Will be returning for a cleaning.

Had to wait for about 30 mins even though I was the first patient of the day and I was on time for my appointment. X-ray machine was broken so had to come back another day. Dr. Vourtsis was very nice, friendly, gentle. I was pleased with the cleaning.

As someone who has avoided seeing a dentist out of fear, I am very happy with Dr. Vourtsis. She is personable, gentle, patient, but best of all, frank and to-the-point. She was able to put me at least, tell it to me straight, and make me feel more confident all at the same time. I am usually in and out in under an hour, and I never find myself waiting around longer than 10 minutes. I am pleased with her practice and will continue coming to her for care.

She was really nice! Makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable. The place is really clean! She is very friendly and makes you feel very relaxed. I’m personally terrified of the dentist and she made my visit an awesome experience. I would define recommend her! Everyone was very nice, from the front desk, to the person who took my x-rays. She is very friendly and has beautiful teeth!! When I arrived and signed bnb in, the lady went out back. I knew I had to sign some paperwork so I went looking for the front desk staff to assist me. I don't think I should've had to do that. Besides that minor issue, the visit was fine.

Great experience and so glad to have her as my dentist! Check in was seamless and I was seen immediately. Christina is sweet and kind and gave my thoughtful feedback about my future treatment. Left there feeling great, which is not always the case when seeing dentists :)

While Dr. Vourtsis was nice, the evaluation for gum disease* wasn't performed & it's supposed to be standard practice at all dental offices. So I won't be going back & urge you to not to either.
*Dentists use a periodontal probe to check pocket depth around the gums. They then measure each & note each measurement. With this info, they can determine the heath of your gums, whether additional treatment is needed, & whether you need to pay more attention to certain areas with your flossing & brushing. By tracking this info during each cleaning, they can also determine whether your gum health remains the same or is getting worse over time.
