It was always a dream of Dr. Kooning to return to Lake Oswego and start his own practice. He has worked in several dental settings, including corporate dentistry, and brings a unique perspective to procedures and treatment planning. It's most important to him that you receive a conservative, thoughtful, and honest assessment of your current condition, so you can make the best possible decision(s) about your care. He is also dedicated to the idea that the pace of treatment is dictated by you.
Dr. Christopher Kooning is a Portland native. He was raised in Lake Oswego and is a proud graduate of La Salle High School. He attended Oregon State University and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University in 2009, following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Jan Kooning. During college and dental school, he served for six years in the United States Army Reserve.
Every patient is different and has a unique sense of urgency about what is needed. Dr. Kooning will help you improve your dental health in a way that makes you feel comfortable, always prioritizing your comfort and satisfaction.

Excellent service! Very friendly staff. Guillermo, the hygienist was amazing . He definitely calm my nerves. He was very thorough and did a magnificent job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Kooning was great! Very informative about what I needed to be done. Dr. Kooning, definitely exceeded my expectations. highly recommended!
