“Have been dealing with a tooth that I was advised by a dentist needed to be extracted 3 years ago. Have been putting it off. When I did contact the referral oral surgeon, I was devastated by the cost. This doctor did not take insurance and neither did my insurance provider. After much decision making located Dr Moates/Waterside Dental and booked an appointment. Was able to get in within 2 days and they accepted my insurance. I am not one to jump around with dentists as I've been seeing present Doctor for over 15 years so know I was hesitant to try another one. However, due to several recent issues starting to develop with this loose tooth, decided it was time. I am going to share one of the best experiences I've ever had with a dentist, staff and procedure. Very patient, caring understanding of my reluctance and apprehension. About Dr. David Moates

*New patients - Please note when booking with this provider, your initial appointment will be a comprehensive exam and you will be scheduled for a cleaning accordingly.* Dr. David Moates brings a wealth of clinical expertise to the Waterside Dental office. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Dental School in 1983 and went on to own and operated two different offices for 30 years in Apoka, Florida and Hendersonville, North Carolina. Dr. Moates is well versed in all phases of general dentistry, from routine procedures to more complex cases. He completed specialized courses in implant dentistry from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and has replaced and restored implants for more than 20 years. In addition, Dr. Moates handles most root canal therapies and oral surgery treatments, treating every procedure as cosmetic in nature to give you your best smile. Dr. Moates and his wife of more than three decades are pleased to call Sarasota their home.
