Dr. Block has been practicing dentistry since 1974. He graduated from New York University, School of Dentistry, N.Y., N.Y. with a D.D.S. degree. Dr. Block was born and raised in New York. He is licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey. Dr. Block has always stayed current and incorporated in his practice, the most up to date diagnostic and treatment modalities. He participates in continuing education programs on an ongoing basis with an emphasis on restorative and esthetic interests. Recent programs include: restoring dental implants, non-surgical periodontics, new concepts in periodontics, pain free endodontics and all porcelain crowns and laminates. Dr Block is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Queens County Dental Society.
He is married and has two children, both working and living in Manhattan. When not working his outside interests include playing golf and traveling.

Dr.Block has been my dentist for 5 or 6 years and what I like most about him is that he explains everything he is about to do every step of the way, he includes me in the process. Dr Block tells me what I will be feeling before he starts a procedure so if it will be uncomfortable he lets me know before it happens. He is very professional and knowledgeable in all facets of his chosen career.

Dr Block is a pleasant, gentle dentist who takes time to explain the procedures as he goes along. I went there as a recommendation from my daughter for an emergency, as it turned out root canal & crown. It was a good experience and that’s not an easy thing to say about dental work. Although he doesn’t take many insurance plans they do work out payment plans. The receptionists and dental assistants are all pleasant, professional, nice demeanor and really helpful.

The office was very accommodating to my 3 year old daughter. They put on Netflix to distract her while we waited and allowed her to stay close to me during my visit since I did not want to leave her alone. They were pleasant and sweet to her. I appreciated the effort.

Mr. Block has a great facility and gets straight to the point while remaining professional and friendly. I came in for a pain that was bothering me and found out I needed a root canal. He handed me off to another dentist at this location and went well for the most part except the crown insertion. When presenting the crown it looked great, but for whatever reason they took it upon them self to file it down WAY too much and it looks nothing like the rest of my teeth. It was a costly mistake that can't be redone, but I will have to deal with my stub of a tooth for now. I would definitely recommend this office, but make sure to express and communicate everything you find wrong or ill-fitting.

Dr. Dennis Block is a wonderful dentist! I was dentist averse for many years due to bad childhood experiences and as a result I had developed several cavities, I got a recommendation to see Dr. Dennis Block from my mom and I have never looked back since. Dr Block worked with me to resolve all my issues. I now maintain a regular schedule of maintenance, and I have also gotten some cosmetic work done as well. My teeth look and feel great and I have a happy, healthy mouth. Kudos to Dr Block and his awesome team for running a great practice. I would also like to add that they were able to work with me on a schedule that fits me well. Give them a call to get your next check up

Dr. Block came highly recommended by other ZocDoc users, so I made an appointment. I hadn't had good dental care in over 5 years and Dr. Block took time to make X-rays and impressions to really see what needed to be done. He is to the point and explains what he's going to do before he does it. His office manager is very good as she is very thorough. This office tries to alleviate the financial burden of dental health (why have insurance if you are required to shell out your savings to stay healthy?).

Dr. Block knows going to the dentist isn't pleasant for some people so he asks all the questions he can to get right to the point of the matter. He also makes sure you're well educated when you leave and there's a plan in place for your personal dental health. He puts weight on preventative care and even said out loud it's important to take care of everything now so later in life you don't need to come in to the dentist as much.

Dr. Block was great - he and his staff were all incredibly kind and helpful. There was an issue with my insurance initially, but his staff continued to help me reach out to them to figure it out, and none of my care was delayed because of it. During the appointment, Dr. Block had great bedside manner, and I was in and out in no time. He was very reassuring throughout the experience and made sure I was educated about dental care. He also took time to get to know me, and he even recommended talking to one of his dental assistants as we both wanted to go to the same kind of grad school. He definitely goes above and beyond, and I would highly recommend going to him!

When it became urgently necessary to choose a dentist for a loved one, my research and the many excellent reviews online led me to Dr. Block's practice. My loved one doesn't have insurance, but luckily, they have the best rates in town! After the appointment, I definitely see why everyone speaks so highly of Dr. Block and his charming staff. They were able to see us quickly, even on a Saturday. The office was clean and inviting, and there was a warm, professional atmosphere. The level of care and attention to detail was far above average, and they explained everything in very clear language. We felt well informed and expertly treated. A potentially scary procedure turned out to be 100% pain free. We walked away with better teeth, a clear understanding of next steps, and a decision to confidently recommend Dr. Block to all of our friends and family. If all dentists were like him, people would go more often.

With no doubt I can say he is the best Dentist I have every been too. He has done 4 root canals on my son who is not a fan of any dentist and he loves him. No pain after any procedures. I can't say enough about Dr. Block. He is always available for me. I had an emergency last week and I called his office. They fit me in the same day. Dr. Block got me out of pain and gave me antibiotics because I had an infection. I'm so happy. I have no pain. He took my insurance Metlife in full, there was no copay. He listens to me and gives me advice. I had a root canal with him and felt nothing. He has the magic touch.

I absolutely love Dr. Block. He is great, caring, and patient. I have been coming to him for 5 years and I would never go to a different dentist. I had many crowns and veneers and they look great. I also had a zoom whitening to match my teeth with my crowns and I LOVE how white my teeth are My whole family comes to him now. He's the best!
