About Dr. Diva Puerta
We are a self-pay practice only and do not accept insurance. The self-pay cost is $473, which includes a complete exam, cleaning, and a full X-ray set.
Dr. Puerta is a graduate of New York University School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, as well as the Universidad de Antioquia in Colombia, South America, where she also earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She completed her dental degree twice. She is a very dedicated and meticulous professional, focused on the complete treatment of her patients and paying particular attention to the medical aspects of their care.
Dr. Puerta has not only been a clinical practitioner but has also given back to her profession by serving as an instructor at New York University in the dental clinic. She has taught in many disciplines, including restorative dentistry, and has been involved in the technology aspect, particularly related to computer-aided design and manufacturing of cosmetic restorations. She has also served the community by being active in youth programs and participating in medical missions to Latin America and the Caribbean. Additionally, Dr. Puerta is a very active member of her church.
She has participated in many continuing education programs in various locations, including the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne. She has attended dissection courses in Boston, which were very helpful during her surgical training, implant placement, and restoration courses. Dr. Puerta is a ceramics specialist and a well-rounded, complete professional who cares deeply for her patients.

Extremely clean and updated office! Probably the best experience I've had at the dentist's office. No wait time. I saw Dr. Diva Puerta for a cleaning and x- rays. She was very knowledgeable and thorough with me. I left feelings confident and well informed about proper dental hygiene. The entire staff was so organized and very friendly. I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in Thanks Vanguard Dental.
