About Dr. Ellen Pikus-Katz
Dr. Ellen Katz is an experienced dentist specializing in general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. She is passionate about providing the highest quality of dental treatments and offering a personalized approach that takes each patient’s needs into account. Her passion shines through her detailed work, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and providing genuine care with which she treats her patients. She loves creating and re-building smiles, from conservative touch-ups to complete smile makeovers and full mouth rehabilitation utilizing advanced dental technology and creating facially driven esthetics.
Dr. Ellen attended New York University College of Dentistry, where she graduated as one of the youngest dentists in her graduating class and received a Most Promising Dentist Award. Following graduation, she completed a one-year residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. She values the importance of continuing education and the latest advancements in dentistry and regularly attends lectures and conferences, as well as conducts lectures for other dentists. She currently serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor and Co-Clinical Director at Full Mouth Rehabilitation Continuing Dental Education Program at NYU and lectures at Nova Southeastern University Continuing Education Department. Dr. Ellen is a Graduate and a Mentor at the Kois Center, which focuses on Evidence-Based Teaching for practicing dentists. She is a published author in the Peer-Reviewed Compendium Dental Magazine and continues to share her wealth of knowledge with practicing dentists across the country.

It’s hard for the average person to research and vet their doctors because all their bios sound alike. As a dentist, I’d like to weigh in and recommend Dr. Ellen highly for her skills, her integrity, and her knowledge. She is actively engaged in the highest levels of dental education (director of a post-graduate program for complex dental treatment and a mentor at another post-graduate school) and is able to synthesize her academic knowledge with solid clinical work. Many dentists in the NYC area have been mentored or directly trained by Dr. Ellen in complex full mouth rehabilitations. Her work is conservative, beautiful, and functional. I refer all of my patients in the NYC area to her!

I needed an emergency dental appointment in the city and was referred to Dr. Ellen. She was able to work around my schedule and fit me in same-day. The appointment was a breeze and Dr. Ellen was so helpful and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything to me and answer my questions. Overall great dental visit in a beautiful new dental studio, and I’m looking forward to returning to Dr. Ellen in the future.
