Dr. George Hishmeh is a compassionate and highly skilled pediatric dentist dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to children across New Jersey and New York. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the inaugural class of Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College, where he demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing pediatric oral health through clinical excellence and research.
Following his graduation, Dr. Hishmeh completed a rigorous General Practice Residency and a Pediatric Dental Residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. During this time, he gained extensive experience in comprehensive pediatric care, trauma management, sedation dentistry, and treating special needs patients. His clinical expertise includes restorative, endodontic, surgical, and interceptive orthodontic procedures, often performed under general anesthesia.
With years of hands-on clinical experience across a wide variety of settings, Dr. Hishmeh has performed dentistry under general anesthesia, oral and IV sedation, and nitrous oxide, demonstrating a deep commitment to patient safety and comfort. He is certified in Invisalign and laser dentistry and stays up to date through continuous education and research, including presenting at national conferences.

I highly recommend this office for your toddler/ child. Staff are very welcoming and kind. Very clean and my son loves the waiting area. My son 2nd visit and every visit has been excellent. My son feels very comfortable with the doctors and staff. Dr George is very knowledgeable and I always feel like I’m learning something new from the doctors each visit. Copay kinda pricey but it’s worth it. I want the best for my son.

I just want to say that I’m beyond happy that I found out about Zocdoc. I was able to book this excellent pediatric dentist for my daughter. The first appointment was May 3rd and they helped to have her teeth extracted with nitrous sedation. I am beyond grateful. Everyone from the anesthesiologist to the dental administrators were amazing. Staff verified my insurance and gave me a precise estimate for my coinsurance. Thank you so much everyone!

A Wonderful Experience with Dr. George Hishmeh
I recently brought my daughter to see Dr. George Hishmeh for treatment of multiple cavities, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care she received. From the moment we walked into the office, Dr. Hishmeh and his team made us feel comfortable and welcomed.
He was incredibly gentle and patient with my daughter, explaining everything in a way she could understand and helping ease her anxiety. As a parent, it was such a relief to see her so calm and cooperative during the appointment — something I never expected during a cavity filling!
Dr. Hishmeh's approach is both professional and compassionate. He took the time to answer all of my questions, and I truly felt that he cared about my daughter’s comfort and long-term oral health.

It’s not easy finding a dentist who knows how to handle toddlers with such patience and kindness, but Dr. Hishmeh was absolutely amazing. Finding a great pediatric dentist isn’t easy, but Dr. George Hishmeh is truly one of a kind. From the moment we arrived, the whole experience felt calm and welcoming. Dr. Hishmeh is warm, gentle, and has a way of making kids actually *enjoy* being at the dentist—something I didn’t think was possible! My daughter usually gets very anxious, but he talked to her kindly and made her laugh, which helped a lot. He took his time explaining what he was doing and made sure we both understood the treatment plan. The office is super clean and designed to make kids feel comfortable, which I really appreciated. Everyone on the staff was friendly and patient, and they made check-in and scheduling super easy. Honestly, it’s rare to find a doctor that cares this much. We feel lucky to have found him and will definitely be coming back. If you’re looking for someone who’s great with kids and really knows what he’s doing, Dr. Hishmeh is the one.
