About Dr. Hari Goo
Dr. Hari Goo grew up in Bayside, NY and currently lives in Ridgefield Park, NJ. She received her dental degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (formerly known as UMDNJ) with high honors and completed her training in general practice residency at Hackensack UMC Mountainside Hospital.
Dr. Goo offers comprehensive treatment for adults and children. She truly enjoys practicing dentistry and spending time with her patients. In her free time, she enjoys hot yoga, hiking, and cooking.

As a physician who also graduated from UMDNJ, I feel very shamed that a graduate from the dental school side did not receive the proper patient care training. I was rushed the entire appointment. I asked if we could talk about my options for braces. She told me to find out if my insurance covers the costs. No review of X-ray results with me so I still don’t know if I have cavities. She just couldn’t wait to leave and see the next patient. The assistant was poking my throat so harsh that it actually bled. FYI, my kids have been seeing another dentist in the same office for 8 years who we love dearly without a single complaint. This is not a random review from a stranger. This review might be likely deleted but I believe in word of mouth especially we are in the same medical circle.

Helps to book on ZocDoc since you can complete most check-in paperwork on the app prior to your appointment. I was even able to upload photos of my insurance card. Efficient office staff, and Dr. Goo is a great dentist with excellent bedside manner. I filled out a Covid questionnaire and my temperature was checked on arrival. When I was done with that I was called into the exam room within a couple minutes and Dr. Goo was already waiting for me gloves on and all gowned up complete with face mask and shield. I think the dental assistant was new because water was splashing all over my face and collecting at the back of my throat. Overall, an excellent dental experience as usual!

The staff was always friendly and kind. Dr. Zhang speaks Spanish very fluently. Dr. Goo was impeccable. We set an appointment together with my wife, my daughter, and myself. We are glad to make the right choice—perfect energy.

I highly recommend Dr. Goo at Little Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry. Although it's a pediatric dentistry, I chose her because she accepted new children/adult patients and it was within walking distance from my place. Regarding Covid, they were great, felt comfortable and they took my temperature.
Overall, the dental exam was thorough with getting X-rays done. What was great about this exam was Dr. Goo performed the cleaning herself with help of the dental hygienist. Usually in other places I've been, the dental hygienist does the cleaning and the dentist comes in and checks the X-rays and your mouth etc. Checked for cavities and thankfully had none. She was very pleasant and answered all my questions about the exam and teeth whitening.
Definitely check out Little Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry for yourself and if you have children.

I'm glad a picked her...I had a horribly done root canal from my previous dentist but Dr. Goo re-did it at her Fort Lee clinic. She such an awesome job!

I was a new patient without an appointment, and I walked in on a Saturday morning because of gum pain I’ve been dealing with for a week. I didn’t expect to be seen right away but I wanted to try walking in anyway because of the pain. I’m 15 weeks pregnant so I already had lots of anxiety on top of my fear of the dentist... The receptionist girl was nice and efficient, I told her I’m pregnant and in pain, she immediately went back to speak with someone and she said I could be seen soon! I was surprised and very grateful. I filled out the new visitor sheets in about 5mins and was seen by the dentist in less than 10mins. (Don’t expect it to be this fast for everyone, I think I just got lucky and walked in at a good time or something.) The dental assistant prepped me with the bib and was very nice and caring, and in just a couple of minutes Dr. Goo came in. She was super friendly and quick, and at first she spoke Korean because I was speaking it first, then she asked if I preferred English and I said yes, and she switched effortlessly into perfect English. She kindly and thoroughly explained what was going on with my gums, and fixed the problem right away! No pain, no fear. She just had to grind down my back molars a tiny bit so I stopped biting down on my swollen gums in the back. She answered my questions patiently and thoroughly and didn’t rush me out. I’m one happy pregnant lady lol my pain is gone and I left there very satisfied with the fast service. I found my forever dentist!!

She’s honestly so nice! I went to get a cleaning and a second opinion on if I should go back to my oral surgeon for some inflammation in my wisdom tooth extraction site. Pretty sure they would have just cut into it at the surgeons office but her recommendation was to see if it was potentially caused by food. Thankfully it was and I avoided having my gums cut into again.

Dr Goo was nice and friendly, but the assistant was a bit lack of experience, need to take couples of x-rays to get things right. However, she was very gentle and nice. Overall experience is better than my first time visit, and really appreciate Dr. Goo's detail demonstration of how to maintain my teeth and gum.
