About Dr. Heather T. Brown
Considered one of Houston's leading orthodontists, Dr. Brown's community achievements have not gone unrecognized. She is the recipient of the 100 Black Men 2013 Phenomenal Woman of The Year Award and was named one of the 25 Most Beautiful Houstonians by HTexas Magazine. Dr. Brown received the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce 2012 Pinnacle Award and has been lauded as one of The Top 25 Women of Houston. She has made appearances on Great Day Houston, Check It Out Houston, and KHOU Channel 11 News, and has been featured in the Houston Chronicle, Health and Fitness Magazine, Seventeen Magazine, HTexas Magazine, Rolling Out Magazine, and d-mars publications. Her exceptional clinical skills have placed her among the top percentile of Invisalign practitioners in the United States. Dr. Brown has served as a distinguished guest speaker for the American Academy of Health Professions Commencement Exercises and as a guest lecturer for the ATI Career Training Center Dental Assisting Program.
Dr. Brown earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College and completed her Certificate in Orthodontics at Howard University.
Aside from her numerous awards, she is a wife, a mother, a business owner, and a multi-faceted woman with a heart for helping others. She considers her crowning achievement to be founding and establishing the Houston Chapter of the Smile For A Lifetime Foundation, a national nonprofit organization that provides free orthodontic services to disadvantaged children.
Dr. Brown remains active in several professional organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and The American Association of Orthodontists.
