Dr. Irina Starik received her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Following this she completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at Lutheran Medical Center. Dr. Starik is a member of the Prosthodontics Honor Society as well as the American Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, New York Dental Association and a graduate from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Dr. Starik is committed to the caring of those who have entrusted their dental health to her and will work to ensure continued quality dental care in response to your specific needs.

I reviewed 6 DMD's on the UES before choosing Dr. Starik, who was shown to be on East 79 St. I arrived early for my appointment; filled out all forms; and was about to acknowledge I received the HIPAA data when I realized that I had NOT received it. It was then furnished to me. I asked if SHE was "running on time" and was told that she was. A staff member took X-rays; then in walks a man named Dr. Y Song, who I never chose and never vetted!! When I asked "where's the dentist that I booked", I was first told that she wasn't in today; later that she had moved to NJ. I feel I was subjected to a bait-and-switch trick that really offended me. It's also possible that she was there in a back room but when the X-rays showed only 1 bad tooth that required work that she doesn't do, she palmed me off on her colleague. When I reported this to Zocdoc, they acted very interested but later said that their investigators would never contact me to explain how I was stiffed. Shame on all.

She replaced all the fillings that had to be replaced in 2 visits. It was all done in Feb of 2020 right before the covid pandemic started. I asked for double the amount of anesthetic and experienced no pain at all. My back teeth look great.

I had a really lovely experience! Unfortunately there were several emergency patients in the day of my appointment so I was seen a bit later and the staff was so apologetic. I think it was only 15 min late, which by NYC dr standards is on time! The Dr was also very clear about what she was going and why during the procedure and made me feel at ease. Can’t wait to go back for my cleaning (which is saying a lot because I don’t like going to the dentist). Highly recommend!

excellent , I arrived much earlier but was seen at the correct time
Very now equipment including including hand held x ray for one tooth too if needed.
very informed and up to the second , NO PAIN, no problems before, during and after my molar extraction that was causing me bacterial infection. (specific antibiotics prescribed).
I m already able to swallow saliva without pain the next day. and already healing. (no blood today and very little yesterday after following all her instructions)
Works with you on cost before, I had no insurance., her prices are affordable and not exorbitant as several dentists in the area.

Nice office & dental visit, everything went well except I booked a 10:30am appointment on Zocdoc & have all the text reminds me for a 10:30, but somehow the doctor office have me as a 11am appointment in their system. Good thing is my schedule is pretty flexible that day, but would certainly prefer to be informed ahead of time on this appointment conflict.

Dr. Starik was helpful, but when I got to the office there was a woman waiting in reception with her mask under her nose. I asked her to pull it up over her nose and she did, but I have no idea why the receptionist didn’t say anything. That kind of PPE noncompliance makes me very uncomfortable (especially in a dentists office where patients have to have their masks down), so I waited for the doctor outside.

Dr. Starik has been my dentist for the past 4+ years and has delivered excellent and prudent care. Treatment decisions are made in a conservative fashion so that you get the most appropriate care when you need it and no over treatment. Her dental handiwork is great as well.

I've been going to Lenox Hill Dental for at least four years. I recently went in for my bi-yearly cleaning and they have upgraded safety precautions for COVID-19. I felt completely safe throughout the process.
I always thoroughly enjoy my visits (I know an odd thing to say about going to the dentist, but it's true). The staff are extremely kind and pleasant. Cleanings and fillings are always completed without any discomfort. It's with confidence and experience that I can say they always do a great job with the few fillings I've had in the past and I've never had any pain or issues afterwards.
I used to worry about seeing the dentist, but I never have to think twice or worry about upcoming appointments here. They always address my concerns and have really helped me improve my dental health. This is really important to me since before finding Lenox Hill, I did not consistently get dental care. All of the staff I've met are extremely pleasant and understanding. It's easy to schedule and the availability is great for those who are always busy.
Dr. Starik and her staff make going to the dentist easy and painless. I'm so happy to have them on the Upper East Side and I always recommend them to my close friends. Overall, a fantastic dentist office and I hope to be a patient for a very long time.

I've been going to Dr. Starik for more than 5 years and I trust her a lot. I'm someone who is generally very afraid of dentists and doctors, but Dr. Starik has treated me well and puts me at ease. She takes the time to answer questions and shows compassion for the patient's concerns. I think she has given me good dental care advice over the years, and she has helped me with issues such as fillings, teeth whitening, and retainers. I highly recommend her.

I hadn’t been to the dentist in 6+ years. Dr Starik and her staff were excellent and prompt with my exam, as well as the accommodation for a quick filling. I liked that she explained what she was doing before she did it - this type of bedside manner greatly helps put a patient at ease and instills confidence in her hands. I highly recommend her practice.

Dr. Starik and her staff were very welcoming and I was seen right away but that's probably because my appointment was at 5:30 pm. I would recommend her for yearly dental visits but if you have a dental emergency I would not. I have a really bad toothache and she couldn't help me and the doctors she recommended couldn't either. Now I have to wait almost two weeks for a root canal.
