About Dr. Jessica Rice

From a young age, Dr. Rice was fascinated with dentistry. She loved to have her teeth cleaned and would watch what was going on in the doctor’s glasses. Dr. Rice earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She and her husband, Steven, moved to Portland to experience all the Northwest has to offer, including hiking, mountain biking, and enjoying the great outdoors. They are both avid Ultimate Frisbee players and travel around the country playing in tournaments. In their free time, they enjoy cheering on their favorite teams, the Portland Timbers and Oklahoma City Thunder, and playing with their rescue pup named Raina.

On my first visit I received a thorough examination including xrays and scan and a complete evaluation of my mouth and teeth and Dr. Rice picked up right where my previous dentist had left off. Then I had my teeth cleaned by hygienist Benita who I would highly recommend. A great experience.

I didn’t actually meet with Jessica. It was a man and I apologize. I do remember his name. But he explained everything very thoroughly and in terms that I could understand. I didn’t feel like I was being high pressured, and the experience was favorable

Every person I had work on my teeth was extremely nice and welcoming, and the usual anxiety of a dentist appointment wasn’t completely there. They were all open to communicating in multiple ways too if I didn’t understand something they were explaining.
