Dr. Joanna Hong provides quality dentistry and is known to be extremely thorough and detail-oriented. She invests her time in patient education so patients fully understand their oral health conditions. Providing individualized professional care with high values in preventive and conservative dentistry is what she strives for.
Dr. Hong is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor degree in Chemistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, followed by a post-doctoral residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. As a distinguished Kois trained dentist, Dr. Hong is committed to delivering exceptional care and continuously being updated with the latest advancements in dental research and treatment methodologies. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond routine dental procedures, encompassing a comprehensive approach to oral health that prioritizes patient comfort and satisfaction.
Dr. Hong is a compassionate cosmetic and general dentist with great experience working with immunocompromised medically complex patients including those undergoing or have completed cancer treatment. Her volunteer outreach program with Great Shape 1000 Smiles in Jamaica enhanced her understanding there is need for dentistry internationally and plans to serve more underserved communities.
She is adventurous and always up for learning new cultures and activities. Dr. Hong hopes to travel to as many countries as she can and embrace trying new international culinary experiences, as she considers herself to be a foodie.

My experience at pristine dental with Dr. Hong was great. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, caring, and friendly, and so is the staff. I’ve always been wary of going to the dentist due to several bad experiences and she’s the first dentist that actually made me feel comfortable. 10/10 definitely recommend! Joanna was great! She gave very helpful tips about dental hygiene, like the need to floss the outside of the outer teeth and was proactive about finding potential problems, including finding a cavity that was buried underneath an old filling. My dental onlay with her also went well!

She spends her time to make sure your dental health is better than when you walked in, and open to share her knowledge and educates her patients on dental health. Her and happy are an awesome team to make the otherwise uncomfortable dental check up a more fun experience.

Dr. Hong & the whole team are awesome! Dr. Hong is very thorough with everything she does and always explains things comprehensively and makes it easy for her patients to understand. I usually come for cleaning but Dr. Hong is well aware of my invisalign treatment and has a good grasp of my treatment and how it will affect me down the live. For any restorative work she always presents several options & the pros & cons. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Hong and her staff!

Dr Hong is a super star dentist. She has such a gift for taking care of patients. She has a remarkably warm and compassionate bedside manner. She takes amazing care of my teeth. She is very detail-oriented and explains everything so clearly. Her entire team is incredible. Her dental assistant Happy is also phenomenal. Dr. Hong always goes above & beyond to make sure patients have the best experience. She is very attentive to your needs and makes sure to explain all your options before jumping on a procedure. She also hires the friendliest staff that you litterally have no choice to put a smile on your face :)
