“My visit went better than expected considering how long it had been since this chicken went to a dentist. I was in a great deal of pain due to an abscessed tooth which required an antibiotic. Dr. Joy was cheerful, practical, intelligent and kind. She explained everything clearly, presented the options and came up with a plan. I highly recommend her and already have an appointment to return.”

Dr. Joy Yoo is a general dentist at Ridgewood in NJ with 36 years of experience. She graduated from Boston University with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and is a member of the American Dental Association and a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Her lifelong experience as a compassionate dentist makes patients feel comfortable coming to each visit and helps build long-term relationships like family.
Joy Dental is also proud to provide the highest technology, such as CEREC for Same Day Crowns, 3D Dental CT for Guided Implant Surgery, and lasers for Teeth Whitening and Gum Treatment, to name a few. My dentist retired last month and it has been an absolute nightmare trying to find a dentist that I TRUST and that has an office/staff that is reliable, personable, gentle, and easy to talk to.
I had tried to see a new dentist last year (NOT Joy Dental) that left my teeth/gums traumatized and bleeding, and that had the audacity to lie to me about having 2 cavities (when I have consistently had 0 cavities every cleaning and this was confirmed by a second and third opinion) just to profit from a new patient scam. After that experience, I was extremely wary of trying somewhere new.
I wish I had found Joy Dental earlier. After my cleaning today, I can easily say that I might actually like Joy Dental even better than my dentist whom I have loved and trusted for the last 18 years. When I have kids and if I am in the area, I would take them here based on how gentle the Dr. was with my sensitive gums and how calm and thorough he was when answering my questions. GO HERE!!!

It was my first time at Joy Dental and I can say I have found my new dentist office. It’s about 30 minutes from home, but worth the travel time! Everyone was so friendly. Dr. G was absolutely the best! She got to know me and didn’t make me feel like just a patient. Going to the dentist isn’t my favorite thing to do, but the care I received today made it a great experience! Highly recommend!

I came in as new patient. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I have not been to the dentist in a couple of years. The lady I had cleaning my teeth was Michelle. She did an outstanding job and I could definitely see a big difference in my teeth. Typing this one day after my teeth cleaning I am experiencing no pain. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

I have been to many dental offices and this is by far my best experience ever! Just from being greeted by the front desk girl I felt the positive energy and I was seen immediately. I had the best hygienist I think I’ve ever experienced with Michelle, she was so knowledgeable very helpful really took her time with me and made me feel the so comfortable. Dr. Joy was very nice as well she didn’t rush me and let me know what was really going on with my teeth. I cannot wait to come back, highly recommend this practice.
