About Dr. Justin Maxwell
Dr. Justin Maxwell is a Maryland native who grew up in Olney. Dr. Maxwell graduated from Sherwood High School before attending the University of Maryland at College Park in 2001. Drafted as an outfielder by the Washington Nationals in the 4th round of the 2005 Major League Baseball Draft, Dr. Maxwell played professionally from 2006 to 2016.
He played in the Major Leagues for the Washington Nationals, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, and San Francisco Giants. Dr. Maxwell completed his professional baseball career in South Korea playing for the Lotte Giants in the Korean Baseball Organization. Transitioning into dentistry upon his acceptance to the University of Maryland School of Dentistry (UMSOD) in 2018, he graduated Summa Cum Laude as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in the Class of 2022. During his time at UMSOD, he was:

Dr. Maxwell spent the final year of his dental education in the prestigious Diamond Scholar Program in the Advanced Education of General Dentistry Program at UMSOD. Currently, Dr. Maxwell is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Maryland State Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Maxwell is happily married to his wife Loren. The couple share 3 children, Jaidon, Liana, and Jett. He is a highly active volunteer in youth baseball and basketball having coached numerous highly competitive teams. He is also part time sports broadcaster and has served as the color analyst for the Washington Nationals on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network

The office in-network status was verified prior to scheduling. This is highly recommended because the office has a insurance policy and we can get results on insurance network status in advance. Have insurance company verification done by the company to prevent confusion.

10/10 I always read reviews before visiting anywhere for the first time. As others have said Dr. Maxwell and Assistant Kendra made a otherwise horrible experience a somewhat enjoyable one. Explained the procedure before, during and after treatment. No surprise billing. You’re made aware of all the details before beginning any procedure. I can go on and on and on honestly. You can really tell this is a team of true professionals. I’m so grateful for their service and bedside manner.

My experience was delightful, this is coming from a man that’s not a fan of the dentist office, plus I was in some pain. The staff was warm and welcoming and so was Doctor Maxwell. The best part is you see the Doctor you booked with. He’s an active listener and has the ability to make his clients feel comfortable. The office was easy to find and plenty of parking. I had to circle back by phone the next day. I spoke with Ms. Donna and Michelle they were able to provide answers to my questions, assist me and get me in the office the same day.
