About Dr. Karen Harriman
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and our Comprehensive and Esthetic Dental practice. We proudly serve Falls Church, Seven Corners, Arlington, and the greater Northern Virginia and DC metro area.
Dentistry has been my passion for over 25 years! I am devoted to helping patients achieve their dream smile. My practice philosophy centers on helping patients achieve optimal oral health by utilizing the highest standards of care in the most comfortable way possible.
I take a boutique approach to patient care. My team and I take ample time to listen to patient needs and build a treatment plan supporting each patient's unique oral care goals. We provide a variety of general, restorative, and cosmetic dental services. I am also a provider of Invisalign® Clear Aligners. Patient care, comfort, and safety are always our top priorities. I continually strive to use modern techniques to offer superior care.
I am a proud member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. I am a delegate to the Maryland State Dental Association and serve on the Budget and Finance and Membership Committees. I have been named "US Top Dentist" by the Consumers Research Council of America yearly for the last 15 years.
I regularly volunteer with Mission of Mercy, Carpenter's Shelter, and other charities. Recently, my children and I created and printed 3-D N95 masks and shields, which we donated to support nurses, dentists, doctors, assistants, and EMS personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, I received an Honors Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph. I came to the U.S. to study dentistry and earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University. Earlier, I spent a year and a half practicing dentistry and working with the Inuit community in the Canadian Arctic.
