About Dr. Karim Salem
My interest in Orthodontics began as a teenager when I was a patient of my father, who was my Orthodontist. My treatment started with a head-gear appliance and eventually braces. I don't recall ever complaining, but I wasn't sure my teeth would be fixed until I compared the initial pictures taken at the start of my treatment to the results at the end. I was fascinated by the transformation and grateful that my teeth looked nice, aligned, and my overbite was corrected. I take pride in making that kind of change in people's smiles and self-esteem. I enjoy educating my patients and, most importantly, making the entire process fun and comfortable. I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University and completed my Certificate in Orthodontics at Tufts University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.

The doctor does not listen or explain well. They don’t take any X-rays etc during the consultation and ask that you pay a lump sum down payment before they even get started. They basically want you to commit without knowing what you’re committing to.

I would recommend this practice. My insurance did not cover it, however I do not understand what Masshealth covers so it could be not completely the doctors problem.

Dr. Salem was extremely nice. He laid out all of my options and what to expect from them without pushing me one way or the other. You can tell he he takes pride in his work. His staff are fantastic as well. Would absolutely recommend him to everyone!

I really enjoyed my visit. The staff are very kind & caring. I felt like I was well taken care of and they took the time to explain how to take care of my braces when I first got them. :)
