Dr. Katie is absolutely wonderful. Not only is she a skilled practitioner but also very good with children. She is kind, funny and patient. We have been seeing her for many years and I feel lucky to have found her. She’s built a trusting relationship with my kids, both of whom look forward to seeing her.

Dr. Katie is a caring and talented pediatric dentist, she is not only a skilled practitioner but it is also obvious she greatly loves her work. My eldest daughter is always very anxious when going to the doctor. Dr. Katie does an amazing job reassuring her, she is patient and thorough in her expatiations taking the time to answers all of her questions. My kids feel safe with her and we all think very highly of her! Couldn't recommend her enough!

Kathleen A. Van Vorst, DMD
Dr. Van Vorst began her dental career upon graduating from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Following her DMD degree, she pursued a residency in general practice at Staten Island University Hospital, where her initial training in the treatment of children and patients with special needs was received. After subsequent completion of a two year residency program in pediatric dentistry at SIUH, during which she gained extensive clinical and operating room experience, her specialty certificate was earned.
As a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Van Vorst appreciates keeping current with the most recent dental literature. She also values her teaching position at SIUH, where she instructs general and pediatric residents as a dental attending.
Following in her strong belief to help others and volunteer, Dr. Van Vorst most recently joined healthcare missions in Colombia, Guatemala, and Cambodia. With participation in outreach trips being a true passion of hers, she is excited to be preparing for another where she will provide children in Nepal with much needed dental care.
Dr. Van Vorst resides in Manhattan and practices an active and healthy lifestyle. In her spare time she enjoys snowboarding, playing tennis, painting class, museums, and traveling. She is thrilled to be given the opportunity to share her oral health knowledge with the patients and parents of Tribeca Dental Studio, and looks forward to providing children with a positive, fun, and exciting dental experience!

She was caring and sympathetic. She explained things well to me. I was upset about my son's dental issues and a confusion that occurred with the office. She was able to calm me down and explained the situation to me. She made time for my son to have his issue addressed.
