He is the recipient of numerous prestigious dental awards throughout his career, starting with him receiving the distinction of graduating at the top of his class.. In addition, Dr. Mendes received extensive training in hospital dentistry, dental implants, Cosmetic Dentistry, TMJ therapy, and Oral surgery during his general practice residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He received his education as an Orthodontic specialist at the University of Toronto. He often works in combination with the other highly trained dentists to create dazzling smiles for patients of all ages.
Dr. Mendes grew up in Toronto, Canada. He relocated to the Northern Virginia area from Brooklyn, New York after living and practicing in New York City. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their two sons.
