You hardly feel the anesthesia injection and even a tooth extraction was pain free. I almost couldn't believe all the great reviews here but now I understand. ”

About Dr. Kira Gekht
Dr. Kira Gekht is from Ukraine, and immigrated to the United States in 1994. They settled in Silvers Spring, Maryland. Just a few years later Dr. Gekht met her husband, Gennady. That’s right. She moved thousands of miles to America and yet she somehow wound up marrying a guy from Moscow. Ask her about it sometime: it’s a heck of a story.
In 2002, Dr. Gekht qualified as a dentist, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. After graduating, Dr. Gekht moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she concentrated on honing her clinical skills, gaining experience in all aspects of general dentistry, dental implant technology, and pediatrics. A few years later Dr. Gekht and her husband were delighted to become the parents of two children. The family moved to Sarasota, Florida in 2007. They all adore being part of this community and are definitely here to stay.

I have found Dr Gekht to be a most caring and professional Doctor. There is no doubt that the client always comes first. Dr. G is a fine communicator and her work is some of the best in the area. You would have to look long and hard to find a better dentist.

Finding your dentist when you move from New Jersey to Florida is the challenge. My New Jersey dentist was a personal friend and I had been seeing him for 30 years. The only way I ever would've switched dentists was to move away from New Jersey. I had tried another dentist here in Sarasota and hadn't been pleased. Dr. Gekht is simply Awesome! Two weeks ago I had severe pain in one of my teeth.It was a Saturday and her office was closed. I called on her emergency line. She called back in 30 minutes and came to office especially to see me. She is highly competent, professional and caring.

I researched many Dentists information online and reviewed the reviews. I selected Dr. Gekht's office because of her background, and her office is a more personal office as opposed to a large house full of impersonal dentist cranking out patients..
This was my first visit to Dr. Gekht's office...Very nice office environment...My wait was only about 5 minutes..First a Dental Assistant did Full Mouth X-Rays because my last Dentist office had never done a full mouth...
Next the Dental Hygienist Phyllis performed my Quarterly Gum Maintenance followed by a cleaning..Phyllis is extremely friendly and will keep you laughing as she performs her magic.
Then Doctor Gekht reviewed my X-Rays and inspected my mouth for cavities, chips, etc. and suggested ideas for improving my smile with a buildup of front teeth...
As I stated this was my first visit and I had never met or been exposed to any of the employees or Dr. Gekht prior to this visit.

I am very pleased with my first appountment. The staff is very friendly and professional. Dr Gekht was very easy to talk to. She not only repaired my chipped front tooth but reinforced both of my front teethe to prevent further damage as they are thin, due to grinding and acid. She took a conservative approach, which was less costly. She is my new dentist now!
