Dr. Kris Popli has always been interested in the medical field. He comes from a family of doctors and pharmacists but also enjoys working with his hands. This combination of skills has allowed him to become a better dentist. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and has been serving patients in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the DC area for over 30 years.
Dr. Kris Popli is a "Gadget Geek" who always stays on top of new technologies. In 2003, he became the first dentist in the Tysons area to utilize the Waterlase dental laser. The dental laser was demonstrated live from his office on Washington's CBS Channel 9 News. He quickly became known as the "Laser Dentist" by adults and children who have experienced its benefits: no shots, no drills, no numbness! He also uses a laser for accurately detecting cavities and in-office teeth whitening.
Dr. Popli has extensive post-graduate training in orthodontics, implants, cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, periodontal treatment, white fillings, and life-like porcelain crowns. He is a member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, has made oral health presentations to area school children, and has appeared on radio and television programs as an expert in dentistry.

I was a patient of Dr. Popli starting in 2012, then moved away and then came back. I appreciate his attention to detail and willingness to help when I was not a patient. I'm impressed with the way this team operates. The front desk is amazing and responsive. If I could give them more stars, I would do so in heartbeat. They will follow up via email, text, and calls to remind you of your appointments. Your privacy to them is priority number one. During my appointment, Dr. Kris Popli was very informative throughout the whole process. He was also very kind and courteous. Made really great recommendations. Excellent visit. Dr. Popli listened to my concerns, accurately diagnosed various problems, reflected on treatment options, and suggested use of a specific tooth paste. He will be looking at a panoramic film that was sent to him and will develop a plan of action.
