About Dr. Lara O'Shaughnessy
Dr. O’Shaughnessy, a tennis enthusiast and mother of two who grew up in Larchmont, received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery in 2005. Upon graduation, she moved to Manhattan to complete her advanced training as a general practice resident at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital.
Dr. O is an active member of the New York State Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Connecticut State Dental Association, and Greenwich Dental Society and recently completed her associate fellowship training in Laser Dentistry.

I’m really happy I found a great dental provider like Dr. O’Shaughnessy. She is very knowledgeable and always explains everything before beginning. She’s open to any questions or concerns you may have and doesn’t try to over treat or do unnecessary procedures. I’d definitely recommend to everyone!

My whole family goes to Chappaqua Smiles and have since my children were toddlers. Cannot recommend this practice highly enough! The doctors are knowledgeable, professional, wonderful with kids and teens as well as adults. Hygienists and support staff are warm, friendly and very efficient. The office is beautifully renovated and extremely welcoming. It’s actually a total pleasure going to the dentist! Despite the fact that it’s quite a commute from our house, we wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!

Dr. O’Shaughnessy is amazing. I used to hate going to the dentist beore I started going to her. She has great beside manner and is very professional. She’s very thorough in explaining on what she is doing abs why she s doing it. Highly recommended. She’s the first dentist that’s ever made the dentist as pleasurable experience for me. Thanks Dr. O !

Dr O’Shaughnessy is the best dentist I have ever seen. She is friendly, calm and thoughtful. I also think she’s a perfectionist which is a good trait in dentistry, imo! My smile looks so good, people are constantly asking who my dentist is. Chappaqua Smiles and Dr. O’Shaughnessy get my highest recommendation!
