About Dr. Lea Planzos

Dr. Lea Planzos was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. She is an alumna of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated with Honors in Clinical Dentistry and received awards in Periodontics. Dr. Planzos then went on to complete a three year post-doctoral residency program in Periodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. During her residency program at Columbia, she also received a Master of Science degree in Periodontics for her contributions to a research project on immediate implant placement.
Dr. Lea Planzos is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology after making significant achievements beyond the mandatory requirements of the specialty of Periodontics. Diplomate status places one at the pinnacle of periodontal knowledge both clinically and didactically.
Dr. Lea Planzos is proud to practice with her father, Thomas Planzos, and sisters, Penny and Melena Planzos, in their newly renovated and cutting edge facility. Dr. Thomas Planzos is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and is the Clinical Director of the NYU College of Dentistry Full Mouth Rehabilitation continuing dental education course. Drs. Penny and Melena Planzos are also alumnae of the University of Pennsylvania Dental School and Columbia University and are specialists in Prosthodontics and Orthodontics, respectively. All aspects of dental care can be treated at their practice, including but not limited to fillings, crowns, bridges, Invisalign orthodontics and immediate orthodontic corrective simulations (now impression-free with the iTero digital intraoral scanner!), endodontics, extractions, and all periodontal procedures

Everybody is nice here! I love to come to the dentist and & get the best quality of work. The doctors are never in a rush and all of my questions are answered. One stop shop dental periodontal, endodontics, orthodontist . Amazing!
