About Dr. Lea Shapiro
As a general and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Lea Shapiro is dedicated to providing personalized, quality dental care in a relaxed environment where she treats every patient as if they were her own family. Dr. Shapiro is originally from New York with Eastern European roots; upon finding a home on the west coast, she is now established in private practice treating a community that she loves. Dr. Shapiro provides comprehensive dental treatment, emphasizing prevention and lifelong dental health with a caring touch. She has a great passion for the work that she does and loves working with both children and adults.
Dr. Shapiro is a native Polish speaker and enjoys traveling, pilates, and a good conversation. She lives in Sausalito with her wonderful family.
Dr. Shapiro received her doctor of dental surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry, and followed with a general practice residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in NY-a level one trauma center. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Marin County Dental Society, the California Dental Society and Spear study group.

I am new to the area and needed to find a dentist in my MetLife network. I found Dr. Shapiro on ZocDoc and her office welcomed me. I came in for a cleaning and exam. Dr. Shapiro did my cleaning. She is very thorough and efficient. My teeth feel amazingly clean! They took x-rays and highlighted the issues in my mouth. I left with a great little goodie bag of high end toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss. Also, the office had a beautiful view of the Corte Madera Creek which is nice and relaxing to see while you're in the chair.

Very grateful that I found Dr. Shapiro, everything about my visit was amazing! Parking was easy, the office was clean and organized, staff was knowledgeable and were able to answer my questions, plus they made dealing with insurance very easy. My appointment started right on time and went very smoothly. Dr. Shapiro was able to address my concerns and find solutions to issues that I had been experiencing for years, she was friendly and had me in and out with no hiccups or confusion!
