About Dr. Lily Voong
Dr. Lily Voong's goal is to provide quality dentistry to help patients achieve their best oral health and feel good about their smiles. She listens to her patients' concerns and needs and personalizes the treatment plan accordingly. Dr. Voong strives to make every dental visit as pleasant as possible by paying great attention to patient comfort-her patients often comment on how she is gentle, kind, and light-handed. She enjoys the friendships formed with her patients, getting to know them, and seeing them reach milestones through the years.
Dr. Voong also enjoys serving the community; she has participated in volunteer work such as performing dental screenings for children at community fairs, providing dental care at a homeless clinic, and traveling to Mexico to treat the underserved.
Dr. Voong grew up in San Francisco. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She regularly attends continuing education courses featuring the latest in dental technology and procedures. Dr. Voong's professional memberships include the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Francisco Dental Society.
In her spare time, Dr. Voong enjoys nature walks, sightseeing, and spending time with her family, especially her three children.

Very considerate to immediate dental needs and communicating the associated costs before proceeding. Allows patient to assess costs and the immediate need for the procedure before proceeding. No surprises regarding costs.

She was very pleasant and the office staff were very nice and professional. They did not check for COVID vaccine status, however, which was a bit of a concern for me. I hope they do consider this when accepting patients especially in such a high risk office environment.

First cleaning in 5 years. I felt that Dr. Voong was very thorough with my not-so-routine cleaning. Although my appointment was the last one of the day, she didn't rush through the procedure and took the time out to listen to me go on about what my teeth have gone through. Dr. Voong was very helpful when she explained what my options were for the work that needs to be done. She listened to my concerns and gave her advice without putting any pressure on me. Her team was respectful and eager to do the job well.

She talked me through everything she was doing to create a new crown and why the temporary from another Dentist kept failing. She has a TV set on the ceiling which I found helpful in distracting me from thinking about the dental work. We also spent about ten minutes just getting to know each other which is very comforting when someone is about to inflict pain in your open mouth!

I've been to Dr. Voong 3 times now. First time, I've panicked before a regular cavity filling (it was my first in years) and she proved to be very understanding of the situation. We started off with regular teeth cleaning to ease into it. At this point I consider her MY dentist, and that's quite a statement coming from me - in one month, I saw 3 different dentists since I really wanted to make the most educated decision in regards a possible course of treatment for my tooth (root canal vs cavity filling vs tooth pull out).
P.S. It's worth noticing that the dentist office has a tv mounted on the ceiling, which is a great distraction during work on your teeth.
