About Dr. Linda Yip
A native San Franciscan, Dr. Linda Yip has always appreciated the cultural richness and diversity of the city. After graduating from Lowell High School, she attended the University of California, Davis before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious University of California, San Francisco. She then completed a residency in General Practice through the General Practice Residency program at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Yip pursued further education in Dental Obstructive Sleep Apnea at the University of the Pacific.
Dr. Yip is proud and grateful to return to the San Francisco community where her family first established their roots as immigrants. She is an active member of the San Francisco Dental Society, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
With over 10 years of experience working in the Bay Area, Dr. Yip is a passionate dentist dedicated to providing care to diverse populations, including orphans and other underprivileged communities abroad. In addition to treating patients at ConfiDental Smile, she proudly serves those who serve our country as a dental provider at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in San Francisco. Dr. Yip remains committed to ongoing education to stay at the forefront of dentistry.

I may have already left a review for Dr. Yip after I first started with her but I can't recall. In any case, it's now been probably 4+ years that I've been going to see her and the service is still excellent from her to the dental assistants & hygienists, receptionists, etc. I haven't lived in the area for over 2 years and I still travel to Dr. Yip's office. I'll keep coming! :)

Dr. Yip was friendly, very thorough, and transparent about the estimates for the follow-up procedures she recommended. She also operated safely to maintain a hygienic environment in the time of COVID-19. She gave me actionable recommendations for taking better care of my teeth, as well as a referral to a sleep physician to further investigate what appear to be symptoms of sleep apnea. I highly recommend Dr. Yip for dental care.

Dr. Yip and other hygienist were very nice.
Equipment extremely outdated. It was the kind of stuff you'd see in a back-alley dentistry.
Service was poor. Went in for cleaning + checkup. Had a 10 min cleaning but a 15 min flossing tutorial.

I came in for the first time to get a general cleaning, in turn she provided me with information and education about my oral health that I have never been presented with before (which should have been brought to my attention by previous dentists). She broke down the information into terms that I could understand and make plans to develop from. I would highly recommend her services!

Dr. Yip was incredibly thorough in this initial new-patient evaluation. She explained not only her rationale behind her methodology for the treatments I received during this visit, but also for future treatment plan. She was transparent, patient, kind, and professional. After having been a patient of my previous dentist for over a decade, I was hesitant to work with anyone new. However, I left this initial appt with Dr. Yip with marked confidence that she is an excellent dental practitioner. Extra bonus: her office staff were engaging and considerate. As a whole, this is a solid practice.

Dr. Yip is fantastic. The receptionist and staff are super nice. The hygienist walked me through every check and procedure that she was going to perform, explaining the terms and prepping me for the next steps. She also let me know what to expect afterwards with regards to sensitivity and what not. Plus, they gave me glasses to ensure nothing got into my eyes.
The office was secure and modern. I felt well taken care of and informed. This office was great. Would highly recommend.

She is amazing. She doesn't just look at what work she can do on your teeth, but she also advises you what you can do at home to make your teeth healthier such as diet and how often to brush etc. She is really nice and takes the time to look over the numbers with you so there are no surprises.

Dr. Yipp was great. I came in for a dental emergency (my face was swollen and I was in a lot of pain) while on vacation in San Fran and Dr. Yipp was very sweet and made me feel so comfortable. She did an exam and came to the conclusion that I needed my tooth extracted. The tooth was too fragile for her to do it herself so she recommended and even made the appointment for me with an oral surgeon. I couldn’t get into the oral surgeon for two days, so she gave me her personal cell phone to text her if I was in too much pain or had questions. Amazing customer service. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the SF area.

My second annual checkup with Dr. Yip was a breeze -- I'm so glad that I found her practice last year, and I'm sure she's spoiling me for any future dentists that I have to see (not if I can help it). As before, she's incredibly generous with her energy, making time to explain every step of the cleaning, checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable and understood what was happening. I no longer fear going to the dentist!

I’ve been coming here for over a year and only have good things to say about this office. It’s easy to make an appointment. Everyone is friendly. And anytime I have a question and request information, they get back to me promptly and have been able to answer all my questions. Dr. Yip and her team are great.
