About Dr. Lyle Petrutsas
Dr. Lyle Paul Petrutsas was born on March 30, 1970, in the city of Houston. He graduated high school in 1988 and embarked on his undergraduate studies. Four years later, it was time to fulfill his lifelong dream of entering dental school. After entertaining many offers, he decided to pursue his graduate studies at the nationally acclaimed Baylor College of Dentistry, part of Texas A&M University, in the beautiful city of Dallas. After four fulfilling and knowledgeable years, he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Petrutsas then honed his skills as the lead dentist in a large clinic in Duncanville, on the outskirts of Dallas. After five wonderful years of creating smiles, Dr. Petrutsas began to look for the perfect location to start his own practice. After an extensive search, he located a small practice for sale in beautiful Highland Park. Knowing this was the perfect place to help people with their smiles, the practice was purchased in October of 2001.

Hygienist was 30 mins late to my appointment. I booked a widsom tooth consultation and after a 2 hour long appointment of them taking pics of my teeth they told me I would have to go to a different office to get scans of my widsom teeth since they don't have the machine there. They also told me the doctor I saw didn't perform widsom tooth surgery so I would have to book a different appointment to see him. I was clear when I booked it was a wisdom tooth consultation (an option on their website). Waste of time and money

I would not recommend this dentist. I just moved here and I had my very first appointment with them today. Right away the hygienist immediately told me I had gingivitis and needed a “special” cleaning along with specific mouthwash and laser treatment that totaled a significant amount of money. Dr. Petrutsas told me I need to get rid of my wire on my bottom teeth or else my bone would deteriorate. He also said my teeth are completely flat due to grinding and will need their specific mouth/night guard in order to help this. I have never missed a cleaning and have been regularly going to the dentist every 6 months for as long as I can remember. My previous dentists have never mentioned any of what Dr Petrutsas’ team told me. I felt like they were trying to sell me on everything they possibly could. Will not be going back here and would not recommend to anyone.

The technician accidentally scraped off the bond of my permanent retainer mid-cleaning. They quickly escorted me to another room to repair it, but never finished my cleaning or gave me a check-up. I am sure they charged my insurance for a full visit.

Went in for tooth pain while visiting my folks in Dallas, Dr. P was able to squeeze me in and I was treated like a longtime patient. Dr. P gave a clear diagnosis, prognosis, as well as explanation of options & procedures. Addressed many options on how to proceed to remedy my tooth pain. Heather drove it home and found the best course of action, for me (while considering insurance and timing), and explained everything for a civilian to understand. The only letdown is a PPE fee during Covid, but it was forgotten after day of appointment.

All staff was friendly and helpful. Gave me many, unbiased tips and suggestions on different practices to fix my issues. When they did recommend an additional procedure, they did not pressure me to make a decision today and told me to take my time and do additional research. This was something I'm not used to from a medical practice.
