Board certified by the American Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Dr. Majid Jamali is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 17 years of experience. He maintains a thoughtful and professional demeanor while keeping his office friendly and comfortable for patients.
Dr. Jamali earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He completed an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, followed by a residency in Dental Anesthesiology at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. He also completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kings County Hospital, a fellowship in Anesthesiology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and a fellowship in Orthognathic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital.
For over 17 years, Dr. Jamali has served the dental needs of diverse communities across New York, California, and Massachusetts. He stays active in professional organizations such as the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In addition to his work across the United States, he has treated patients internationally, including performing cleft lip and palate surgeries for children in Ecuador and assisting in surgeries in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The office staff was very kind and approachable! Dr. Jamali was kind and explained the possible procedures I could undergo and was forthcoming about the potential risks - overall a decent consultation.
I explained that I wanted to get a second opinion and there wasn’t any attempt to dissuade me from doing so. I’ll need to do my own due diligence, but I won’t be surprised if I come back for the procedure I need!

I was seeking an oral surgeon for an emergency tooth extraction, and chose Dr. Jamali based on the amazing reviews. It was a pleasant (as pleasant as that can be!), professional, and quick experience. The doctor explained everything to me and listened when I was explaining my situation. He didn't rush me, he provided options and was overall friendly and professional. Procedure was quick, and he made sure to check in regularly regarding my comfort. I would see Dr. Jamali again for another procedure such as this.

Dr. Jamali and his team were amazing. I end up seeing this team after another office canceled my procedure after I planned time off of work. Nina was amazingly helpful sensed my urgency and made sure all bases were covered. They were able to see me for a thorough consult within 12 hours of calling to schedule. The day of my procedure the team was amazing, Everyone was attentive and followed up later that day to ask how I was.

I saw Dr. Jamali for a wisdom tooth consultation, and it was a fantastic experience. I'm very nervous about dentists but Dr. Jamali and his staff made me feel at ease. I was seen incredibly quickly after I finished my paperwork. The office is very clean and seems modern, at least to my untrained eye. Dr. Jamali is kind, succinct, and explained everything I wanted to know about clearly and in detail. I'm still very nervous about the surgery itself but now at least I feel very confident about my choice in surgeons.

Dr. Jamali removed 3 of my wisdom teeth. The surgery was seamless and I barely had any pain during recovery. They healed much faster then expected and is a testament to his skill and confidence. He is gentle and soft spoken, I would highly recommend him for any tooth extraction.
There was some confusion in the paper work after making an appointment through zoc doc. It's worth calling and making sure your appointment is confirmed.

This was my first visit. I went to discuss implants. I was seen immediately and Dr. Jamali was very courteous and professional. At one point I asked if he will need fancier x rays, like 3D, and he said he doesn't want to charge me extra for something that will not deliver any new information. I think that's a good sign that this is an ethical doctor. I plan to have him do my implants.
His staff were very kind too.

Dr. Jamali and his staff were excellent. So friendly and accommodating. They worked with me to find an affordable option when I couldn't get my insurance to cover sedation and couldn't have been kinder and gentler about the whole thing. Everything was explained to me and all questions I had were answered. Unlike other oral surgeons I had done consultations with, I was seen quickly and the waiting room and treatment rooms were so clean and professional. I would recommend to absolutely anyone who needs an oral surgeon to come to Dr. Jamali's office.
