About Dr. Marii Malagayo
Dr. Malagayo was born in the Philippines and grew up in Lubbock, Texas. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center - San Antonio with a Distinction in Dental Education and Teaching Honors. Following her doctoral degree, Dr. Malagayo completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at UT Health - School of Dentistry. During her residency, she received training in many advanced dental procedures, sedation and complex treatment planning.
Dr. Malagayo is committed to continuous improvement and the highest quality of care. It is her mission to guide all patients towards better oral and overall health, and be their partner and ally in accomplishing treatment goals and believes that trust, quality communication, and patient involvement is critical in treatment success. She also acknowledges that many patients have fears or anxieties about having dental work completed and makes it her top priority to ensure patient comfort and deliver gentle care in a relaxed, and soothing atmosphere. Dr. Malagayo believes that the patient, doctor, and support staff all share the same purpose and passion - healthy mouths and beautiful smiles!

My experience with Reality Bites was phenomenal to say the least. I have always been scared when I visited dentist but they made me feel so relaxed. My dentist Dr. Marii Malagayo was SOOOO amazing and gentle. She was fast but patient and kind and incredibly knowledgeable. My hygienist and even the front desk people are friendly and warm welcoming. I was in awe of my treatment here in this facility. I felt like I had been a patient here already for years and will highly recommend it every chance I get.

Can’t say enough about Dr. Malagayo and the hygienist Stephanie. They were both super attentive, knew what I needed, had read my file so knew my background, and were ready to help. They both put me at ease immediately and I really feel like I found someone who cares, wants to help me get to where I want, and is showing me the clear steps we’ll take to get there. Sometimes in dentistry I just feel like a toothy ATM, but not here. Here I really felt like they’re putting care first…which is how it should be.
