About Dr. Mina Kim
Dr. Mina Kim returned to Columbia to obtain her dental degree, where she received an award from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Kim completed her residency training at New York Methodist Hospital in Park Slope where she was awarded the Prosthodontics award.
Dr. Kim is an active member of the community. She keeps up to date with new dental developments with regular continuing education and seminars. In addition, she enjoys volunteering with children to provide dental education and treatment when possible.
Dr. Kim focuses on general and esthetic dentistry and is committed to providing her patients with the top level of care. She also enjoys treating pediatric patients.
Dr. Kim has memberships in the New York State Dental Association, New York County Dental Society and American Dental Association. She serves on the executive alumni committee of the College of Dental Medicine and is the fundraising co-chair of the Korean American League for Civic Action. She enjoys exploring new restaurants and playing squash.

The doctor was ok. I didn’t like the fact that they had broken each thing so much that you had to pay for each and every thing. For instance why would one pay someone to look at the report twice- one to the immediate doctor and then for the one who if needed would do the work on your tooth

Dr. Kim is very knowledgeable and patient with her work! She takes the time to explain the procedures that needed to be done to your teeth before doing them and gives you options to choose what your most comfortable with doing. I came in for a cleaning and Invisalign consultation, and Mina was so thorough and transparent with the entire procedure. Mina made my first to her office very comfortable and inviting. She is very friendly and outgoing, and takes your mind off things. She was very thorough in my cleaning and informed me of what I need to do to help the health of my teeth for the future.

I’m so glad i found Dr. Kim. I’ve had alot of dental work in the past and after shoddy root canals and emergency visits I’ve been left with an extreme fear of the dentist. After my initial visit she put my mind at ease, even with much dental work to be done we set a clear treatment plan. She’s conservative with her treatments and did not push pricey procedures. She took her time to explain correct oral hygeine, answered my questions, and is a pleasure to talk to.
As for my actual treatment today she explained everything we were doing before she got started. The whole session was painless (even the numbing injection) and was given clear post treatment instructions.
As for the office itself it’s clean and modern. You are seen at your scheduled appt time (major bonus since most patients are probably cutting out of their midtown jobs). Olga at the front desk is extremely helpful and also gives great dental advice herself!
