About Dr. Mohamad Bashar Ayass
Dr. Mohamad Bashar Ayass graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and finished D.M.D. degree 1996. After that he completed 3 years of advanced prosthodontics studies from Boston University School of Dental Medicine and graduated as a prosthodontist in August 2000. In 2000 - 2003 he served as a Post Graduate Instructor for prosthodontics at the Bedford Veteran hospital, Bedford, MA.
Since 2000 Dr. Ayass has been providing outstanding service to the patients in private sector. He opened his first own practice in Arlington, Virginia in 2008 and his second office in Centreville, Virginia in 2010.
Many in the community know Dr. Ayass for his skill, his beautiful smile and his motivation to help people improve their lives.

Very old equipment. The cleaning was poor quality and not as in depth as other places. Just did a quick floss and brush and that was it. Friendly staff, but would not recommend.

No nonsense professional practice. My wait time before being seen was less than 5 minutes. My regular check-up and cleaning with no complications was complete in less than 30 minutes. The staff clearly cares about each patient as an individual. They are friendly and polite.

This was one of the strangest dentist appts I have had. There was a really poor cleaning and it seemed like the dental hygienist was more interested in chatting than looking at my teeth. I didn’t receive a proper cleaning and the dentist didn’t even do a thorough exam. I booked through Zocdoc bc he had good reviews but I ended up having to schedule another visit with a different dentist that same week… the office was small and the set up provided zero privacy during the appointment. Equipment was dated and the overall vibe was quite odd. Don’t recommend.

Professional, friendly, convenient. No bells or whistles, just a thorough check up and cleaning. I appreciate the minimal wait time and how fast I was seen by the dentist and then the hygienist right afterwards. The staff is super friendly as well. My visit was in March 2024.

Honest, professional, organized, clean, and efficient. I've been to several dentists in the DMV area, and this was my favorite. The staff was polite and efficient. The dental hygienist was professional and thorough. Two things that stood out were that they first asked me if it was OK to take X-rays; they didn't pressure me at all to take them. I feel like most dentists take X-rays without asking because of the financial incentives. Secondly, I was told by a previous dentist that I had cavities, which ended up not being true. The doctor was also very, very delicate. I highly recommend going here.

Lourdes, the front office staff, was very helpful following up and trying to get my records from my previous dentists.
As for Dr. Ayas, very down to earth physician. I felt he treated me as one of his own, like a family member or friend. He was very generous spending sufficient time to listen and giving me an advice.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff! As a Trans man, I get very nervous going to new doctors office especially since my name does not match the one on my insurance/ID. The whole staff got my name and pronouns perfectly and made me feel very safe. I would recommend this dentist office to anyone and everyone!

I had been delaying my dental cleaning because of COVID. Dr. Ayas and his entire office and staff have created an incredibly clean and safe environment. Dr. Ayas took the time to carefully explain what he was seeing, and what potential options were. I'm definitely coming back, and I regret not making appointment sooner!

DOCTOR BASHAR IS PART ARTIST, PART DOCTOR AND PART UNREAL NICE AND CARING MAN. HE HAS RESTORED MY ABILITY TO EAT AFTER 7++ YEARS OF NOT HAVING BOTTOM OR MANY UPPER TEETH. NOT ONLY WAS HE "SPOT ON" OUT OF THE BOX, BUT HIS PRICES ARE WAY BELOW MARKET, AND EVEN IF HE WAS 4X MARKET PRICE HE IS WELL WORTH IT!!
THE QUALITY OF LIFE THAT DR. BASHAR HAS RESTORED TO ME IS A NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE, NO MORE MUSH FOODS, I HAD CORN ON THE COB FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 10+= YEARS.
GOD BLESS DR. BASHAR AND HIS STAFF!! LOURDES IS AN AMAZING PERSON AS WELL!!

I have always recommended Dr. Bashar to every single one asking me about a dentist in the DMV area.
All my recommendations were based on the positive feedback that I got from friends. When I recommend him to someone, they come back to me with a superb satisfaction.
Until a few weeks ago, when I needed a dentist myself. I got the chance to confirm everything I was told about this practice.

Dr. Ayas is MAGIC! The oral device he created to treat my sleep apnea fit perfectly from the start, is comfortable AND reduced my snoring by 90% according to my spouse!
He and his staff are kind, efficient and prompt.

Dr. Ayass was very friendly, professional, and knowledgable. This is my first civilian dentist as I was in the miltary for the last 8 years. He made me feel very comfortable and didn't push for any extra work. He had a concern for a tooth but said we will just watch it for six month and talk again from there. This instantly made me him trustworthy in my book, I definately don't feeling like I am being pushed into things I don't need but still being told potential worry areas. I did a lot of research on dentists in my area and there were so many bad reviews out there on lack of knowledge, trust, rudeness ect... but not with Dr. Ayass and I am glad I did my research and chose him because he seems to be as good as all his reviews.

Dr. Ayas replaced a 30+ year old crown on 7/28/2016. I am very pleased with the new crown. I experienced no discomfort during the removal of the old crown or after being fitted for the temporary crown. I did not choose Novocain for the fitting of the final porcelain crown and had no discomfort while the permanent crown was installed. Dr. Ayas is highly skilled and very sensitive in dealing with his patients. He took a great deal of care with my new crown. I would highly recommend his dental practice.
