About Dr. Mojgan (Megan) Arjmandi
Dr. Arjmandi earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. However, her unwavering passion for dentistry began many years earlier when she graduated from the University of Belgrade School of Dentistry with a DDS in 1999.
While taking the trip of a lifetime traveling around the world, Dr. Arjmandi met her wonderful husband, Kamiar, and they decided San Diego was the best place to live and raise a family. After the birth of her two children, Kian and Arman, she returned to her passion for dentistry and obtained her second DDS degree. As she worked in corporate dental offices in the beautiful North County San Diego area, Dr. Arjmandi realized she wanted something different for her patients.
Not interested in following the corporate dentistry path, Dr. Arjmandi decided to open her own practice. ?I want my own practice where I can treat my patients with the care and love they deserve, like members of my family.? One area of special interest to Dr. Arjmandi is anxiety-free dentistry. Helping her patients feel comfortable while undergoing treatment ensures the best dental outcomes. She truly cares about her patients' dental experiences.

I am truly grateful for the care I received at Smile Essentials, starting with the friendly receptionists, who clearly explained how my care would be. Was first greeted by the Administration staff at the front desk, they were extremely pleasant and I have nothing but great things to say about them.
Dr. Mojgan was very clear and understanding of everything I came in for, and didn't make me feel scrutinized like previous dentists before.
This was my first visit but I can tell I will be very happy with them as my dental provider.

It had been a while since my last dental visit and I had had a hard time finding a new dentist. I’ve had some not so positive experiences with dental care in the past so was apprehensive about someone new. I have to say my experience this time restored my faith. The staff was very friendly and efficient and Dr Armandi was wonderful!!!

Dr. Arjmandi and her staff are exceptional! As a new patient, I appreciate the time Dr. Arjmandi took to familiarize herself with my health history prior to my appointment, particularly since I have had cancer, a stroke and have an auto immune disorder. She asked good questions and made me feel very comfortable as we discussed my X-rays and goals for my treatment. She was also very through in offering me a variety of options to fix the issues I have, with particular emphasis on not exacerbating my auto immune issues and she also is the first dentist who requested clearance from my medical team before treatment, so everyone involved with my healthcare is working in partnership. I really value that! Her staff is personable and helpful and I just found the whole experience a welcome change from my prior dental experience. Looking forward to future dental visits!

This was hands down the best dental appointment I've ever had. Its been a very long time since I've been able to go to the dentist, and I had no idea what to expect.
Dr.Arjmandi was incredibly down to earth and took the time to teach me about proper dental care. Additionally she took the time to explain what she was doing and why it was important to care for you're teeth. She was hilarious too! I love doctors with a good sense of humor, it's always a pleasant surprise. Props to the dental tech too. I can't remember her name but she was careful not to drown me with the water wand, which was much appreciated. I also want to recognize the front office staff who called me multiple times to confirm my appointment and helped me with insurance coverage.
Overall I'm very excited to go back. I really appreciate Dr. Arjmandi and her staff and I'll absolutely be recommending them to anyone and everyone who needs dental work.

Cassondra and Dr. Arjmandi were both incredibly friendly and attentive. I had some insurance issues with my HR, but Cassondra went above and beyond to help me research and get to the bottom of things. It was incredibly easy to schedule an appointment, they saw me immediately upon arrival (even though I was 15 minutes early), and the overall care was thorough, quick, professional, and pleasant. They're really devoted to making sure people are well cared for and comfortable, and I'm looking forward to coming back in six months!
