About Dr. Nazeli Tarjan

Dr. Nazeli Tarjan’s youthful energy and lightheartedness allow her to have a special connection with each of her patients. During your appointment, you can expect to be listened to and fully understood, as Dr. Tarjan takes all the time necessary to hear you out. Whether you are concerned with the color of your teeth or are interested in a full smile makeover, Dr. Tarjan will spend time with you to ensure she fully understands your treatment preferences and comfort level. With Dr. Tarjan, you can look forward to plenty of one-on-one attention, thorough explanations of procedures, and answers to any and all questions you might have.

Originally from Iran, Dr. Tarjan moved to the United States with her family in 2000. She lived in Iowa for nine years, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
She began her career practicing in Colorado Springs for three years, gaining extensive experience in state-of-the-art restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Two years ago, she moved to Denver, where she primarily cared for underserved children and families. She is now the owner of Icon Dental, where she hopes to meet you and care for your smile!
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her husband, Dan, and their Great Dane, Mini. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, painting, and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Tarjan and the whole Icon team are professional & are the best dentists I have come across. The office was always clean & they had the best technology. Fitting and installing a crown was such an easy process, and they made the crown on-site within an hour (a lot of places have to send the mold to another location to create it). The office professionals were very willing to work with my insurance company to negotiate a cheaper deal. I would highly recommend this office!

I got in right away, hardly any wait time. We got right to business with x-rays because I hadn't been to the dentist in at least 2 years. From there we went to cleaning and a visit from the Doc. She was super friendly and knowledgeable. They said a lot of big words I didn't understand which made me laugh but then explained what they were talking about later. I left with a plan for upcoming visits to take care of my teeth and some day to day advice from both the technician and dentist! Even snuck in some time for a real conversation about life in general!

I had such a wonderful first experience! They were very thorough and made sure to explain every step of the process as it was being done. And I fully trusted their recommendations. I've been to dentists where they are just in it to recommend as many procedures as possible, but this was certainly not the case at Dr. Tarjan's office. I will be going back for sure!

Dentists usually scare me. I haven't been to a dentist in quite a while so I was understandably nervous about seeing anyone. But, I had a lot of growing concerns about my teeth and recurring jaw pain, so I knew it was time to finally make an appointment. The original appointment was scheduled in June, but after seeing my list of concerns, I was contacted within hours to move my appointment up to the following day. Based on that phone call alone, I knew that this office really cares about their patients.
When I got to the office the next day, I was on the verge of a full-blown panic attack, worrying that I had done irreparable damage to my teeth. But when I spoke with Abby, a dental hygenist at the office, she immediately put me at ease, offering sympathy and comfort. She took her time explaining every step of the procedures for the day and what actions to take before follow-up procedures. I can not emphasize enough how grateful I am to have been seen by her! After some X-Rays were taken, I saw Dr. Tarjan, who was also extremely helpful and kind. Together, the two of them helped ease my anxiety surrounding my teeth and gave me all of the information I needed to take better care of myself.
I can't recommend this place enough! Best dental experience I've ever had. This place actually makes me unafraid (well, almost!) to visit the dentist!

I generally don't like going to the dentist--my teeth are cavity prone and I have less than stellar flossing habits, so I associate it with needles, drills, Novocain, and floss-shaming. Not this time! My hygienist, Abby, was great. She explained everything she was doing and why, offered really helpful advice on incorporating floss into my daily routine, and walked me through my insurance coverage and estimates for additional work that I would need. And Dr. Tarjan was very friendly and answered my questions clearly. I never felt pressured to pursue any treatments or services I didn't need either, which had been an issue with other dentists. And there's a TV on the ceiling so you've got a little distraction while they're poking away in your mouth. If you're looking for a new dentist I highly recommend the team at Icon Dental--it was the most positive experience I've had with a dentist anywhere!
