He is a doctor who prefers holistic/natural methods if possible, which I also try to myself. The wait was a bit long due to him working on a patient.
I enjoyed his conversation while getting worked on. He also has a little dog which helps ease some anxiety associated with visiting a dentist, so just be careful if you have bad allergies.
Also this was my 1st visit because I needed an emergency appointment and had my tooth pulled, along with cleaning and filling replacements.

My father came to Dr. Jimenez's office on short notice, on December 24th, experiencing pain. Not only was it great to be accommodated on this date, but he was seen very quickly.
Dr. Jimenez was kind, and explained everything. He gave my father close attention and made sure to take care of everything efficiently, from the x-rays to the filling.
My father left very satisfied and will now be using Dr. Jimenez as his permanent dentist.

We had to reschedule because there would be a 2 hour wait for a 5pm appointment. When I did reschedule I was seen immediately. Dentist did a good job cleaning my teeth and giving advice but he took forever because he decided to spend the first 10 minutes talking unsolicited about his beliefs about technology, pseudoscientific and conspiracy theories, and generally making me feel uncomfortable. I wouldn’t go back.

This was one of the strangest interactions of my life. I would have left if it were not an emergency. There was a lot of eccentric verging on dangerous advice given out and a few downright offensive things said. The appointment lasted two hours, the procedure took about 15 of that.

The visit was just an uncomfortable experience. I didn't even get what I needed to get done because Dr. JImenez kept talking and stalling my procedure which was just a basic cleaning. When I asked when he'll be done, all I got was "you'll need to come back we ran out of time". Time he spent talking instead of cleaning my teeth There was just no decorum, especially with the receptionist who at no point took the time to explain how they did things. At the end of it, I just got handed a sheet of papers to sign, without knowing what I was signing. I kept having to ask her basic clarification questions on what was going on.

Easily the best dentist I've visited in NYC (in the 5 years I've lived here). He carefully went over the X-ray results and showed me (with mirrors) exactly what the issue was on each tooth. As a patient one does not feel rushed. Afterwards, he took great care in polishing each tooth / asking for feedback to make sure there was no roughness on each new filling. He clearly cares about his patients and promotes preventive medicine.

Hes very odd, chats too much, makes you wait in the room too long, and then tries to push his belief system in pseudoscience and "educate" his patients on homeopathic medicine. Do not recommend this DDS unless you share his beliefs, and want to chat with your dentist for a long time.

He was friendly, and he got the job done, but I'm afraid that some topics of conversation were not very professional, and were even unwarranted. He would take several breaks from cleaning to discuss his own views, beliefs and experience. Some of which I enjoyed and could relate, others of which were zany and had me confused as to why he would choose to discuss, in detail, such theological and spiritual beliefs, with a client he had only just met?
Otherwise, I think if he would talk less and do more, the service would be pretty decent. Both the assistant and the receptionist/radiographer were professional, friendly, timely and respectful.

I visited for a routine cleaning, and I didn't have any problems. The office is a bit strange, but it generally seemed fine. I don't know if I will return, but I didn't have a negative experience. I chose to see Dr. Jimenez because I was looking for someone with a holistic approach to dental care, and his office is very close to where I live. I originally found him listed on the Holistic Dental Association website, and decided to see him over others listed in New York because his office accepted my dental insurance (PPO; they don't accept HMO).

I enjoyed the visit and the check up. Dr. Jimenez. It was very pleasant. I enjoyed how much time the doctor took to explained my problems and my recommendations. My appt was at 10:00AM, i got there at 9:53 AM. By 10:20AM I was done with x-rays.

This was my second appointment here and I came back because I like the office and the doctor was very nice. But I will not be going back anymore. I waited over two hours to be seen and the dentist kept walking around, once he had a sandwich, once he shook my hand, once he was just pacing around, once he started talking to me while I was waiting, so I know he wasn't busy! Ridiculous! Then when the appointment finally started, it lasted much longer than it needed to. I was there only for a simple cleaning, but I got a lecture about a pre-known condition that I've had for a while that I had no interest in pursuing, then he said we should follow up on it in a new appointment. I never said I had a problem with this, so it just seemed like it was money to him. To top it all off, I got a very subpar cleaning AND he said he found a cavity, but wasn't even going to do anything about it until I asked him to. Why would you follow up on something I didn't ask you to, but not even mention the reason why I came? It just seemed fishy, so I did not get any work done, and I will be getting a second opinion.

As always there is a long wait however Dr.Jimenez is worth the wait he's very kind and patient and he always does excellent dental work.I have referred many friends and co-workers to him and they all were grateful. They said he was great.

This was the worst experience I've had at an appointment I've booked through ZocDoc; I actually walked out of my appointment. I waited about 15 minutes (not too bad) to be taken outside to another office 3 doors down to have my x-rays taken. The 'assistant' was nice enough but dressed very casually and hesitant, and had to redo the x-rays and didn't explain anything. She left the uncomfortable mouthpiece in my mouth to the point where I had to remove it between x-rays. I then waited 20 mins only to have my x-rays retaken, and then the dentist came in, never looked at or acknowledged me once as he tersely told her to redo them again. He completely ignored me and no one explained or apologized why they were taking the x-rays for the fourth time. He treated the assistant very poorly and had absolutely no 'bedside manner' whatsoever. I had now been there about an hour and my cleaning wasn't even close to being started. I felt very uncomfortable and said so, and got up to leave. I asked them to please let me out and the dentist only said 'sure, just push the door.' I stopped by reception to explain that I was uncomfortable and leaving and no one asked what was wrong or apologized or anything. I am appalled at the behavior of the dentist and feel bad for the assistant who clearly was not trained to be doing all that was asked of her. An hour later I received a voicemail saying that even though I have sensitive gums (which is not true), sometimes they need to take x-rays more than once, so would I please call to reschedule my appointment. Unbelievable!! I will never be going back there and suggest that this office be removed from zocdoc.
