About Dr. Farideh Daftary
Dr. Farideh Nikoo Daftary graduated from Northwestern Dental School in April of 2000. From July 2000 to June 2001 she was accepted into the postgraduate program at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and obtained her certificate in Dental General Practice Residency. This experience helped her develop oral surgery and endodontic skills. It also provided her with experience managing medically compromised patients.
In 2004, Dr. Daftary was appointed as the lead dentist at Longwood Dental Center, LLC, a multi-dentist practice. Dr. Daftary is a licensed general dentist in the State of Illinois who has received certification in endodontics while at Longwood Dental.
Since 2005, Dr. Daftary has been fully devoted to the development and success of Art of Modern Dentistry. She has lead Art ofModern Dentistry to become one of the most modern general dentistry groups in the City of Chicago.
Dr. Daftary is a graduate of the Hornbrook Group’s Center for Advanced Clinical Education, which is recognized as one of the top cosmetic and full mouth makeover centers in the world. Dr. Daftary also actively participates in several monthly study clubs sponsored by the Hornbrook Group and PDL, where the most recent products and techniques in dentistry are presented and discussed among colleagues.
Dr. Daftary is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Hornbrook Group, PDL (Seattle Study Club), and is a Preferred Provider for Invisalign and other cosmetic treatments.
When not treating her patients to wonderful smiles, Dr. Daftary loves spending time with her family. Together with her husband they have five dogs (Pandora, Cookie, Stella, Enzo, and Bear), two cats (Snowflake and Simba), and a turtle named Pokie.

I waited 40 minutes before i was taken in and my appointment lasted until over 2 hours for a simple annual appointment and cleaning. This office was incorrectly listed as an in-network but turns out they only take my insurance to cover half the bill. i owed an insane amount at the end bc they took x-rays without consulting me about if my insurance would cover it. Looking at the other reviews this has happened at this office before and they never made any changes to let people know before the visit occurs. They wait until you owe them money. if this happens a lot you think they would make a change but i guess they only want money. by the way they charge a late fee. insane for a medical practice and it’s a lot of money.

This provider was mistakenly listed as in-network; however, my insurance considers them out-of-network. It’s quite disappointing that I had to cover the difference between the provider’s charges and what my plan pays for non-preferred providers

I wasn’t happy with my appointment. I was told I’d be in network by ZocDoc and it turns out I was being seen by a doctor who was out of network. I worked as a dental assistant before and noticed things that were unprofessional. The assistant made a rude comment regarding my X-rays . She made a suggestion for treatment and the doctor didn’t have the same thoughts which made me feel like it was all misinformation. I initially scheduled for a cleaning to later find they couldn’t start the same day . The assistant blamed me for her poor xray taking skills. They took pictures of my smile in the waiting room which I thought was really awkward. Then they gave me an out of network treatment plan ; and when I pointed it out they brought an in network treatment pan. I don’t think they called my insurance to even verify… I was disappointed in my experience here and was honestly hopeful it would have been a good one considering the office was so beautiful.

I was looking for a new dentist and I definitely experienced “sticker shock”. With this provider. I felt as though I was getting Out of network prices for an In network provider. The office the dentist were awesome but their prices for services I have had routinely were drastically inflated. This would have been my new dentist practice if it wasn’t for their very expensive pricing policies

I’ve had two appointments & so far neither have started on time. I was under the impression i was getting a cleaning at my first visit but they only did imaging. No one explained that to me. I had to make a second appointment & i waited over 30 minutes to be seen.
