About Dr. Niraj Patel

Dr. Niraj aims to achieve perfection in both function and aesthetics in all of the dental work he performs for his patients. He begins by assessing the muscles and joints and how they affect the patient's occlusion (bite). After identifying the primary cause of tooth wear, he collaborates with Dr. Patel to detect cavities and gum disease, restoring the patient's oral health. Dr. Niraj earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University and has focused his education on implants. He prides himself on placing implants in the proper position so that implant crowns can be sustained for a lifetime, having placed several hundred implants and crowns. He also performs root canals and works closely with endodontists (root canal specialists). Yogi Dental Center purchased a Cone Beam CT machine that takes 3D images. With this technology, Dr. Niraj can pinpoint the exact cause and location of any tooth pain or infection and proceed accordingly. Besides implants, crowns, and root canals, Dr. Niraj has also enhanced the beauty of patients' smiles with Invisalign and veneers.

The office contacted me prior, asked me for my information including social security number and confirmed my insurance. I waited 45 minutes to see the dentist, just for her to start off the appointment telling me my insurance doesn’t cover. She then told me what my cleaning and tooth fixing process would cost, without even seeing my open mouth. Once I asked her to check my mouth to ensure she was correct, she realized that one of the services she told me I needed, I didn’t, and that the one I did need, she couldn’t provide. I then left.

I recently booked an appointment with Doctor Niraj Patel but was surprised to find that another doctor attended to me instead.
I booked an appointment but they did not even confirm my appointment when I arrived. The waiting time was excessively long. The office was really small, which made the waiting area feel cramped. There was no proper parking, and the available parking was overcrowded and filled by their employees.
My X-ray was done well. However, when the doctor came, she simply checked the X-ray and immediately told me that I needed to have four teeth removed on the wisdom side. But I was actually suffering from pain and had an infection. Without addressing my real problem she was trying to convince me to undergo surgery.
When I insisted, she performed a deep cleaning, but it was not done properly - it was a poorly done job. They only did one side, and when I asked why they did not do the full treatment, they replied, The insurance does not cover both sides in a single day.

I am overally pleased with the whole experience! The receptionist is exceptionally courteous and is very understanding especially being I had to cancel my app the first time. The dental staff that assisted Dr. Patel was very friendly and professional. Then last but not least ...Dr. Patel ?? I cant tell you how fully satified I was with the whole experience. Dr.Patel explains in full detail his overall plan and what needs to be done . He also doesn't prolong the process but starts treatment right away. He is committed to his work ! He strives to make you feel at ease and fully satified with the overall experience. Throughout my life I have had extensive dental work . This is the first time I genuinely am fully pleased with the results.

Staff were all nice and accommodating. I was able to be seen within 10 minutes of my arrival which I have never experienced before. Doctors were all knowledgable and explained everything that they were going to be doing, I was even offered something to drink while I waited. Definitely a great experience and super quick! Also the waiting room wasn't too crowded which was a plus.
