Dental hygienist was very friendly and upbeat, on top of being very knowledgeable and observant at what my problem areas were.
The atmosphere in the office is friendly and convivial (I know, I know, but look it up because it's the correct word), and it removed some of my stress to be around professionals who are relaxed.
The doctor was friendly and sociable, not rushing our review even though I was clearly their last appointment of the night.
No hard sells, which I always appreciate. Recommended!

The staff were nice but pretty disorganized and all over the place. Also pretty sure they had an edible cookie in its sealed packaging blatantly out at the front desk.
The doc had zero bedside manner. He made some rude comments about what I was wearing, during my dental exam, and also questioned my “loyalty” when I said I left my last dentist because I don’t work downtown anymore so it’s more difficult to make it there for appointments. Lol, k.
Bottom line: I wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone.

My appt was for 12pm. I got there at 11:45am. They didn’t have my insurance on file so they needed to contact to get it. I understand that takes some time and I needed to fill out paperwork. I was put into my room around 12:35. They did xrays. Twice the doctor came in to tell me to hang tight, they would start soon. Then I sat until about 1:40 and then was told I needed to switch rooms. Then waited another 10-15 mins to actually be seen. Based on how long I had to wait I would not go back.

This morning I broke my tooth, I don't have dental insurance and I was freaking out! Not to mention the pain I was in..... I called around to a couple offices and no one could take me today. Dr. Anast came in got me out of pain right away. I had no idea what I was going to do but I was offered many options and he walked me through the procedure. I'm traveling to go see my family and I'm still blown away that dr. Anast was able to get back to normal. He's so good at his work and such a nice guy i'm so happy I found a place that I can trust and count on!

My boyfriend saw Dr Anast for 2 root canals & crowns, and will be returning for another root canal, 2 crowns, and multiple cavities. I love that the team gave us a run down of exactly what needed to be done, and a good plan of what was most important to get done immediately and what could be scheduled for the future. Dr. Anast was very kind and attentive, although his assistant nurse seemed pretty new (he had to redo some of her work and she had to take multiple (like.. 7-8) x-rays when only 2 were needed. They ended up working on him for around 6 hours and considering the circumstances it went very very well. So glad to find a good dentist in the city close to our apartment!

I had a root canal done a few weeks ago and overall it was pretty painless. Dr. Anast is cheerful and clearly enjoys what he does. I thought it was awesome when he told me that doing root canals was probably his favorite part of being a dentist.
I visited him again yesterday after having intense pain in the area of my root canal. He took x-rays and said the root canal appears to be completely fine. He said it could be the tooth behind it but he was convinced it was just a bad sinus infection. He prescribed an antibiotic to take care of the infection and a pain killer for the pain. I was skeptical because of how much pain I was in, but I gave it a shot. He was totally right!
I chose Kimberly Dental because of the close proximity to my apartment (I don't have a car), but I got lucky with this choice. I've visited top reviewed dentists in both New York and San Francisco and to be completely honest, Dr. Anast is the best dentist that I've received care from. He knows his stuff and does a good job at making his patients feel comfortable. As an introvert, I also love that he doesn't try to small talk much with me.
I should also mention that the front desk staff are more polite and helpful than average.

Dr. Paul and his whole staff are fantastic. They offer you water when you walk in, there is very little wait, and they seem genuinely happy. I am currently doing an Invisilign program with them and couldn't be more satisfied with the treatment they are providing. I have, and will continue to recommend them to others!

My appointment went very well. I haven't been to a dentist in a very long time and thus needed to have quite a few cavities taken care of. I thought Dr. Anast as well as all the other people I encountered were fantastic. They were very conscientious of my comfort as well as friendly. I was walked through my x-rays as well as pictures of my teeth showing the cavities and explained exactly what was going to be done. Before I chose to have the cavities filled I was walked through a price quote explaining how much I would pay for each cavity and how much my insurance would pay. This afforded me the option of choosing to walk away and find cheaper services or to have the cavities filled at different times. In the end I chose to have them all taken care of that day, but I appreciated all of the options being clearly presented to me. In the end, in spite of having a fair amount of uncomfortable work done, I was very comfortable and will be returning in 6 months for my next check up

Dr. Anast was quite personable, despite only seeing him for less than 5 minutes. Aside from introducing himself, there was absolutely no small talk.
The staff at Kimberly Smiles, however, were impersonal, inattentive, cold, rude, and too busy to get to know a first time patient. Plus it was the worst teeth cleaning I've ever received. The expertise may be present, but I did not feel valued as a patient or a person, and thus will not be returning or recommending in the future.

This was my first visit to Dr. Anast, and I was extremely impressed. The office space is clean and very modern (they even have tvs in all the rooms). The staff was really friendly and made me feel right at home. Also, Dr. Anast was very personable and answered all of my questions. No cavities this time, but I plan on returning for some cosmetic work soon !
