About Dr. Paul Poncza
Dr. Paul Poncza is a highly experienced dentist and Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. With over two decades in practice, he focuses on improving oral health and quality of life through personalized care—especially for patients with obstructive sleep apnea, snoring, and related conditions.
Dr. Poncza earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan. Since 2005, he has developed extensive expertise in dental sleep medicine, working closely with the medical community to treat sleep-related breathing disorders using custom oral appliance therapy. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Poncza regularly lectures on sleep dentistry to educate both dental and medical professionals.
Beyond his specialization in sleep medicine, Dr. Poncza provides care in cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign®, and dental implants. He stays at the forefront of patient-focused innovations through continuing education and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the Illinois Sleep Society.

I have been with Dr. Poncza for over 15 years. He is the most professional, knowledgeable, kind, and honest dentist I have ever met. He will never recommend anything that he doesn't deem necessary just to sell a product. His work is of the best quality. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
