About Dr. Pavani Gedela
Dr. Pavani was born and raised in India and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2006 from a top Indian dental school, NTR University of Medical and Health Sciences. To further her expertise in advanced restorative procedures, she completed a Restorative Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Pavani has been practicing dentistry in Virginia for the past seven years. She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Virginia Dental Association (VDA), and the Northern Virginia Dental Association (NVDS). As a Certified Invisalign Provider, she continually participates in continuing education courses in restorative and cosmetic dentistry to provide excellent patient care. Her membership in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) further demonstrates her commitment to staying current with the latest advancements and techniques.
This dedication to ongoing learning helps Dr. Pavani maintain the high standards of care patients expect from Brighter Smiles Family Dentistry and Orthodontics. I recently completed a deep cleaning at Brighter Smile Family Dentistry & Orthodontics and I'm so pleased with the results. My gums had been bothering me for a while, and I knew I needed more than just a regular cleaning. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. Dr Gedela was incredibly gentle and thorough during the procedure, constantly checking in to make sure I wasn't experiencing any discomfort. Dr Gedela took the time to explain everything clearly and answer all my questions. I was a bit nervous about the potential for pain and sensitivity afterward, but honestly, it was much less than I expected. My gums feel so much healthier now, and my mouth feels incredibly clean. I highly recommend Dr Gedela at Brighter Smile Family Dentistry & Orthodontics – they're truly professionals who care about their patients!

I came to see Dr.Gedela for a broken wire retainer and I couldn’t be happier with my visit. She was extremely friendly and had great bedside manner. She explained all the possible options and gave me all the information so I could make a well informed decision. The staff were fantastic and the office was very well maintained. I loved my experience and I am looking forward to now making my regular dental visits with Dr.Gedela. She truly cares for her patients and I would very highly recommend her to everyone. This was one of the kindest medical experiences I have ever had! I had an emergency situation, and the entire practice immediately welcomed me in as a new patient, treated the emergency, and worked with me to develop a thorough treatment plan. I cannot recommend this practice and doctor highly enough!
