“I have extreme dental anxiety and was incredibly nervous when booking this appointment. The staff at this office was absolutely incredible and listened to all my concerns while walking me through every single step of the way. They always made sure I was comfortable and let me know exactly what they were doing and why. They allowed me to take breaks when needed and truly made me enjoy the visit. I have not had as good of an experience as I did here at any other dentist i’ve been too. 10/10 Highly recommend!”

About Dr. Prasad Gonavarum
Dr. Gonavarum is a Doctor of Dental Surgery, having graduated from the University of Southern California (USC), one of the top schools in the United States for dental surgery. He has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry for over 34 years. During his career, he spent 11 years practicing in the Caribbean Islands, including Jamaica, St. Kitts & Nevis, Anguilla, and the British Virgin Islands. He served as a senior dental surgeon in Anguilla and as the chief dental officer in St. Kitts & Nevis. Dr. Gonavarum has completed several advanced courses in cosmetic dentistry, implants, and endodontics (root canal therapy). He is an active member of the American Dental Association.

There was just a lot of mixed messages. First they could not find the paperwork I submitted online . I waited almost thirty minutes to be taken back. Even though I submitted my insurance card on the forms they sent me they had me resend it to them again they kept asking me my husbands birthday, which was also on the forms that they asked me to fill out. Then during the x-rays, it took approximately 20 minutes to get them to start that . After all this wait time I had to leave, which is why I made my appointment at the time I did, and they said they would email me the prices of what my insurance would cover and never did . Very poor service in my opinion .

Dr. Prasad is Amazing. I've been coming here for seven years and will never change! Dr. Prasad has given me back my smile as well as a reason to smile. The staff is new also amazing. So friendly and service with a smile. Always a pleasure to come to the Dentist believe it or not.

Very satisfied with the care shown by the staff at Smiles of La Mesa. From the front desk people to the dental assistants, everyone is kind and quick to allay any questions or fears I have. I am not scared of the dentist. Thank you doctor for always being patient.
