About Dr. Prashansa Sharma-Makwana

With patients looking forward to their orthodontic appointments, Dr. Sharma aims to make them feel proud and happy about their smiles. She loves building relationships with patients through the course of treatment and celebrating their achievement at the end! Dr. Prashansa Sharma-Makwana decided to become an orthodontist in high school because she enjoyed the sciences, recognized her perfectionist tendencies, and was grateful for her own orthodontist’s work. Dr. Sharma grew up as an only child, moving around the country with her parents and learning to make friends everywhere she went. Since being born in Nebraska, she has moved almost 15 times and has lived in California, Missouri, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Massachusetts—and now Arizona! Dr. Sharma enjoys traveling and has wonderful memories from Mexico, Spain, New Zealand, Guatemala, Panama, India, Greece, South Africa, and Thailand. She has also loved dancing since she was a child, so don’t be surprised if you see her busting a move in the office! Dr. Sharma enjoys puns and spending time with her husband, daughter, and new son.

Everyone was very friendly & made our visit very comfortable. Looking forward to getting her braces on and progress. She had 2 baby teeth still and they pulled those to get her all ready for Braces.
