“This was my 1st visit with Dr. Banavar and I was very impressed. She took very good care of me. I personally drove over 40 minutes to visit this practice after extensive research to find a good dentist that could take care of my dental health and periodontal care. I knew I had some dental issues already coming to this practice but after she evaluated me, I found that there were more issues than my previous provider had disclosed to me. I appreciate her attention to detail and her manor of care and gentleness that she took with me. This demonstrates to me that she is genuine with her patients. About Dr. Rohini Banavar
Dr. Banavar has been practicing general dentistry for the past eighteen (18) years and strives to focus on providing holistic and pain free dental care to patients of all ages. She completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and graduated from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine with a Summa Cum Laude (High Honors). Dr. Banavar graduated Top 3 of her class and was awarded the Excellence in Patient Care by Boston University. She continues this excellence in patient care and enjoys seeing her patients smile confidently. Her specialties include cosmetic dentistry, implant crowns, bridges, Invisalign®, crowns, veneers, and dentures. She is a certified Invisalign provider and has completed many successful cases.

Although I booked an appointment with Dr. Banavar, I was seen by Dr. Lee. The hygenist was very friendly, gentle, and helped my child feel seen throughout the appointment. Dr. Lee did her job with care but did not take time to get to know my child and I in our first visit to the practice. I would have also appreciated more friendliness and enthusiasm for a child's visit. The office staff were present, did their job, but lacked friendliness and energy.

I had a throbbing pain in a back lower molar all weekend. Crown work on that same tooth last November revealed the possibility of the need for a follow on root canal. Well, the time had come! On Sunday I booked an online appointment with SmileOn Dentistry for Monday afternoon. Dr. Lee confirmed the tooth problem and the office staff got me a nearby Endodontist appointment within the hour. By 4 pm I was in the dentist's chair and by 6 the root canal was completed!

I went to Rohini Banavar to get a cavity that was on my front teeth fixed. I highlighted that getting them to look like my teeth was very important to me & that I have alot of anxiety/bad experiences with dentists in the past. After adding the fillings, they looked good at first until during the polishing a drill bit was used & the middle of my front teeth was removed including where she didn't originally worked on. I was sent home because there wasn't enough time to finish working on it. It was so thin and sharp feeling that it kept cutting my tongue. I got them re-done. They look alright now, except they still feel a bit thin and my enamel was removed/clear where I didn't need work. I ended up almost choking out from the water amount, to the point where I had to take a breather to catch my breath. I'm assuming the angle probably didn't help. The 2nd visit's dental assistant was very nice & helped my nerves alot. I wouldn't recommend anyone who is looking for an aesthetic dentist.

Wow, what a kind staff! Today was my first visit at this practice. I have to admit - after having BCBS my entire life I was nervous to switch to Kaiser / Liberty Dental because I just wasn’t sure what to expect from providers. New territory! I am so pleased with the visit I had today. From the time I stepped into the facility, everyone was truly so kind and friendly and positive! I felt very welcomed. Dr. Banavar was very personable and reassuring and she informed me every step of the way about what I needed and why - sometimes patients are told the “what” but not the “why.” I appreciated that she spoke to me as if I was someone who could understand her choices for my treatment. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth did a great job, she was very professional and pleasant however the Dr was unpleasant her demeanor towards myself and the staff was off-putting. I will definitely not return to this office again

Had a few routine cleanings and tooth extraction done with no complaints. Purchased a custom night guard that just did not fit from day one and required multiple return visits for modification. The night guard was incorrectly fitted by the staff . After 4 visits the night guard still doesn’t fit. Huge inconvenience returning so many times to keep having the same issue.

I was running a little late and called them ahead of time and they graciously still accepted me. They took me in right away and were so friendly the whole time. I had a lot of concerns and questions and they patiently answered all of them to ease my mind. One of the assistants even went to bring back in the doctor when she realized I still had some questions I was worrying about but didn’t get to ask before. They were incredibly informative and kind and I had a great experience! Highly recommend.

I was immediately greeted when i entered. The front office staff, the hygenist, Dr. Banavar, and her husband were all easy to talk to and answered all my questions with friendliness. They required hand washing, mouthwash rinse and reduce amount of patients in the facility at the same time. I recommend Smile On Dentistry in Centreville for your dental needs!

Beyond friendly. Every single person who works there will acknowledge you and speak to you genially. It's like a group effort to be as amiable as possible. Must be a nice place to work. Does not feel like a dentist office. More like a hangout where you can also get your dental related problems solved. Very stress free environment. Highly recommend to anyone.

Who looks forward to going to the dentist? Now, I do. The team at SmileOn is so kind, so on top of everything they do, and so good at their work that they made my first post-Covid vaccination appointment an absolute pleasure. "I'm excited to see the folks at my dentist's office again soon," is a thing I actually said when I got home yesterday.
Was it because I got to catch up on some tv in the extremely well-appointed, comfortable exam room? (The tv is positioned to make it easy for anxious patients to focus on Guy Fieri's lighting hair while that plaque gets handled.) Or because I didn't need to ask for the WiFi password, which was clearly posted right in front of me? (A must for us side hustlers and freelancers who can't take down time, even at a dental appointment.)
Actually, I drove an hour to SmileOn because I had heard their team was so great. And they live up to every bit of that reputation and then some. Jennifer and the front desk team knew exactly who I was the moment I walked in the door! Didn't have to fill in forms - they'd already sent them to me via text message, and I had sent everything ahead of time while waiting for my coffee order. (Note to self: less sugar in the coffee.) Temperature check + pre-arrival Covid screening: easy as pie.
Chandi was ready right away to do my cleaning and took such good care of me. I haven't been a model of dental hygiene (ugh, flossing...), and I didn't feel judged. We had a lovely chat, and she is the kindest, smartest person. Did I want to give her a hug afterward? I did. (But I didn't, because boundaries. She just deserves all the good things and I hope she gets them all.) I hope you get to meet her if you go, she's the best.
Dr Rohini Banavar checked on me and did the post-cleaning consult re my cavities (whoops) and grinding (thanks, pandemic), and she couldn't be nicer. It's easy to see how this woman-owned and operated practice has built such a wonderful team of talented, kind, and beyond-capable women who know exactly what they're doing and do it well.
15/10 can't say enough great things about them all. If you hate going to the dentist, you will definitely feel better if you come here. Have kids? Show them how to be healthy and awesome (without anxiety) by getting them started with this team! Just need a tune-up? Trust me, it is worth making the effort to come here. I don't need a convenient dentist who leaves me bleeding, feeling lousy, or confused about my health. I will go out of my way to find a team that goes out of their way to treat me with compassion. At SmileOn Dentistry, that's who you get.
So yeah: I'm excited to go back to the dentist. What great news for my health and well-being, eh?

I have to say this was by far the best dental and most professional experience I've ever had. The doctor was very knowledgeable, patient, and most importantly gentle with those power tools in my mouth. From the dreamy eyed x-ray tech/dental asst. that assisted me in the beginning to Carla who polished me up in the end this entire encounter makes me wonder how I missed this place after living in Centreville for more than 15 years.
