About Dr. Rosemary Ahanor

Dr. Rosemary is more than a dental expert—she also has a special knack for putting patients at ease. Her goal is to make every patient feel comfortable during their visit, and she treats each appointment like a visit with a friend. Dr. Rosemary believes in building long-lasting relationships and taking the intimidation out of dentistry.
Dr. Rosemary previously trained as a dentist in Nigeria, where she was born. She later earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry and completed her residency training at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, D.C. After graduating, she pursued additional training in advanced prosthodontics and implant surgery through a rigorous program with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).
Dr. Rosemary is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). An FAGD dentist has not only proven to be a leader and set a great example for other dentists but has also demonstrated dedication to ongoing education and excellence in patient care. At Aglow Dental Studio, she uses cutting-edge, state-of-the-art technology. She is also a member of the Virginia Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. Dr. Rosemary continually hones her dental skills through continuing education and stays up-to-date with the latest dental technologies and techniques.
Outside of the office, you can find Dr. Rosemary spending time with friends and family and volunteering in the community. She works with several local and international charities focused on enhancing the lives of disenfranchised families and often participates in dental mission trips to Jamaica.

Dr. Rosemary was so great during my visit. She’s very knowledgeable and thorough and attentive to patient needs. She and her staff are very friendly and compassionate which is especially important for someone like me who has a great deal of dental anxiety. I left feeling excited that I had finally found a provider who I can trust to handle my dental needs with care. I live in the city so her office is a bit of a drive for me but I’ll take it if it means I get great care. 10 stars!

Weird experience with this dentist. Front-desk staff is extremely kind and helpful. The dentist is intelligent and tried to be friendly, but feedback about ways to improve dental hygiene came off a bit rude. Ran into an odd mix-up with insurance and what appointments were covered or not. I felt like the office/dentist was not being straightforward about what happened. I ended up having to leave without getting service. I am switching dentists.

I am so happy to have found Aglow. It was such a great experience and I have already recommended to a friend. I was a bit nervous going since I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while due to not having insurance. Now that I have insurance I finally made an appointment and glad I did. Everything was explained to me before moving forward. They even explained cost before doing anything which was helpful to know! All of my questions were answered and everyone there was super friendly :)

First time here. Positive notes: I booked the last available appointment, I was the last patient. However, the dental hygienist and dentist were both SO patient. They remained professional, timely and respectful. Checked in how I was feeling, I felt comfortable and they were nice. The dentist seems knowledgeable, my teeth felt great afterwards. I will return 100% and recommend by bf to use her as his dentist. Bad note: I made my appointment 24 hours in advance. I didn’t have time to upload all the requested docs prior to my arrival. I arrived 30 minutes early, but it took 45 min to complete the check in process. Friendly note, pls upload your docs prior, it makes a difference! It was a mistake I will never make again. Which made the check dreadful but it was my fault.

Awesome service. I needed my teeth whitened before getting a professional headshot taken. Dr. Rosemary was able to accomodate my last minute request and give me a wonderful glow for my photo shoot.
